Capricorn New Moon Miniscopes

Capricorn New Moon Miniscopes

Lasting Foundations.

This New Moon is on January 13th at 12:02 AM EST, and it falls in Capricorn at 23º. New Moons signal a new opportunity or pathway. We enter 2021 with a release from the Full Moon in Cancer on 12/29/20. Now, we get the opportunity to start something new. The Sun and Moon align in Capricorn focusing on structure and the changes we want to make in the coming year and beyond. They connect with Pluto signifying that a behavior or establishment in our lives needs transforming. We are being asked to change our perspective and breakdown outdated mindsets. Saturn leads this New Moon, now in Aquarius, pushing us to focus on how our actions can fit into the big picture. What is our role in society? It is square Mars, where we are feeling stuck between the how and the why. We are being presented with an obstacle that may have us question our direction. This is only to ensure that you fully believe in what you are doing after. The idea that thought becomes action is important. Saturn in an Air will be organizing our thoughts while Mars in an Earth will have us refine our process. We can come to a great solution if we are willing to put in the work. Mars will want more movement, but Saturn is asking for patience. There is a definitely stop and go. Obstacles will present themselves. Venus will be in a harmonious angle to Uranus. Venus will be lightening the energy, although still in heavy Capricorn. The Uranus aspect brings unforeseen outcomes and circumstances. We may be positively surprised by the actions or words of those around us. As we overcome the hurdles presented by Mars and Saturn, we can receive the gifts that Venus/Uranus have waiting for us.

If you have any personal planets in your chart at 19º to 27º, you will feel the effects of this New Moon the most. Especially those with strong Cardinal placements. So, let’s break this down by sign!

ARIES TO CANCER

Aries & Aries Rising

This New Moon starts a new chapter for you in your 10th House. We have experienced eclipses over the last 2 years or so that has impacted your 10th House of career and honors (partially - the other part being home and family). So, you have been having to take a hard look at your life direction and career and decide if it aligns with you and where you want to go! This is the first Capricorn lunation that isn’t an eclipse, so the pressures are a little less intense. Now, the dust has settled, so you have the opportunity to move ahead in a more balanced and practical way. With this New Moon aligning with Pluto, you are being asked to transform your thoughts around work and integrate more work/life balance. You could be vying for a higher position or making a complete career shift entirely. The Plutonian energy is asking for you to dive deep and uncover what the root of your desires is with work. Saturn leads this New Moon and squares Mars causing a bit more tension. Saturn is in your 11th House of hopes, dreams and friendships/connections. Mars is in your 2nd House of income where it just moved a week prior to this New Moon. Here we see a clash of finances and friendships. Maybe you’ve joined a collective or group and there are unexpected dues. Maybe a friend is asking to borrow money (or has recently) or is draining your resources (even outside of your financial resources). You could also be allowing your friends to have too much weight on your own self-worth. Now is the time to start moving beyond these limitations. Saturn will be transiting your 11th house for the next few years, having you realign your priorities and weeding through the connections you have in your life. As you redefine your values from Mars and Uranus in Taurus, you will also shift who you want to spend your energy and time within your life. Be careful of unnecessary tensions now. Venus is in your 10th House alleviating some stress. It harmonizes with Uranus also in your 2nd House, so it seems that any changes made to your career will bring about more, and perhaps, unexpected income.

Taurus & Taurus Rising

How do you expand your horizons and push past the limitations that have been set on you by yourself and others? This New Moon will open a door for you that allows you to see the answer to this question - or at least begin to. This lunation occurs in your 9th House. Here you will see how to open your view and change your perspective, especially on personal matters from over the last few years. We have hosted eclipses in this area of your chart and Saturn for the last 2 years or so. This is the first Capricorn New Moon that is not an eclipse, so things are starting to feel more settled. New pathways are opening and feeling less uncertain or scary here. Of course, growth doesn’t come without some change and obstacle. This New Moon is conjunct Pluto showing that there is a metamorphosis that will occur for you as you start to grow your more spiritual side or even by learning something new, going back to school or opening yourself up to newer experiences. You are starting to see that sometimes you have to take risks in order to see a significant change in your life, instead of being held by your own comforts. Saturn is the leader of this New Moon and it is in your 10th house of career and honors. So, things may feel heavier at work. You may be given more responsibility or your workload may feel like more than normal. Saturn squares off with Mars, so your energy reserves feel drained as a result. You seem to be taking more of a leadership role, but this doesn’t seem to sit well with everyone. You see that some sacrifices are being made, but you don’t have to fall prey to other’s pettiness or even giving up your own personal time for the sake of your job. You need to find ways to balance your time and ensure that you are leaning into what makes you happy. With Mars in your sign, things are going to move fast, so rest when you can. Venus, your ruler, is now in a fellow Earth sign of Capricorn - also in your 9th House like this New Moon. It is reaching out to Uranus in your sign positively and showing you unexpected growth that can come when you choose to stop limiting yourself. If you are looking to meet someone, you may find that the person has a very different background for yours. If you are attached, you and your partner should go on a spontaneous adventure to spice things up!

Gemini & Gemini Rising

You have been doing a lot of inner work over the last few years with the eclipses that have fallen in Cancer and Capricorn. You have been reconciling your self-worth, income, intimacy and shared resources (emotional and otherwise). Saturn in your 8th over the last few years has been draining for you, but also allowed you to come to terms with your shadows. Now, this New Moon opens a doorway in your 8th House, given you the opportunity to make some changes. You can work more on healing and getting intimate with yourself and a partner and see how much more valuable that is to you. If you are trying for a loan or to open a new line of credit, this New Moon could be helpful, but there may be a few obstacles that stand in the way. Pluto will join the Sun and Moon in this area of your chart, giving way to profound and deep transformation. You can start to access your own hidden depths further and see parts of yourself that you may have long ignored. You are getting in touch with all of you. So much growth is coming as a result. Saturn leads this New Moon and is now in your 9th House but is squaring Mars in your 12th. You may be wanting to try something new and take a leap of faith, but you could have some anxiety in the unknown. Mars talks about working on things behind the scenes, so perhaps you feel you aren’t ready to take the plunge yet. If you want to go back to school or are in school, this square may present some challenges for you. The reminder here with the 9th and 12th Houses activated is to discern fear from intuition. Both Houses are asking for you to let go of overthinking and just let yourself open up to what can unfold around you when you trust your inner/higher knowing. Venus is in your 8th House now, with this New Moon (although not aspecting it). It helps to take some pressure off and reaches out to Uranus in your 12th. It shows that a lot of your healing is focused on learning to trust yourself more. You know what is right for you. Don’t deny yourself.

Cancer & Cancer Rising

A New Moon in your opposing sign! Capricorn energy is your polarity - there are differences but also similarities. The similarities stem from the need for security. This New Moon impacts your 7th House of relationships and partnerships (romantic or otherwise). Here the idea of union and close one-on-one’s is in full attention. Over the last few years, we have had eclipses and Saturn transiting this area of your chart. So, you may have felt some heaviness and deep changes here. Some of you may have gotten engaged or married - others may have broken off relationships. Eclipses expose all that is weak and Saturn breaks them down. If the relationship wasn’t strong or foundationally healthy, then it was cast aside for something new. This New Moon brings about the energy for that newness. If you are looking for a long-term partner - romantically or otherwise - this is your chance to begin an important relationship. Pluto embraces this New Moon to put to work all of the transformations you have undergone in this area of your life. The close connections you make now will be impactful for years to come. Saturn is the leader of this New Moon and is in your 8th House of intimacy. It squares off with Mars in your 11th House of networks and friendships. You may be afraid to expose the inner facets of your own vulnerability to others for fear of rejection or loss of control. Use your depth as an asset, not a weapon or from a place of fear. You can make lasting, profound connections with others when you open your heart more readily. You can find how healing it is to truly let people in. Venus aids this New Moon and reaches out to Uranus. If you are looking to meet someone new, you can do so through your contacts/friendships. If you are attached, focus on the camaraderie between you and your partner. Grow that friendship in you both. Whatever comes of this New Moon, there is energy for longevity. Decisions made, are ones that are kept.

LEO TO SCORPIO

Leo & Leo Rising

Your work and routines have been under scrutiny for the last few years. There may have been uncertainty about where you were going next in your work, perhaps that held up the way you were going about your day and even impacting your diet. We have had eclipses and Saturn in your 6th House since 2017/2018 - both impacting this in your life. You have seen major growth, and some obstacles, with work. Now, this New Moon signals a reprieve in some ways. You can start fresh and open doors to newer opportunities. If you want to work for yourself or make a move within your organization or expand your work in general, you will have the chance now. This New Moon is in conjunction with Pluto reminding you that as you transform your idea of work, to also do so for your health and well-being. Take care to support your body now and focus on what it needs. If you need to make changes to your habits, this New Moon will help you do so. The changes feel deeply rooted and transformative. Saturn leads this New Moon in your opposing sign and squares off with Taurus in your 10th House of careers. Read through contracts that you need to sign for work. Make sure you fully understand what is expected of you. In addition, there could be a pull between your job and your relationship. Saturn will be transiting your 7th House for the next 2 years or so. During this time, you will be restructuring one-on-one relationships to really figure out what you want from a partner (in both business and romance). This suggests that there may be some work to do even personally to make that happen. If you want to meet a long-term potential partner, this year, in particular, would be very good for that - especially around the New Moon in Aquarius in February. Saturn and Jupiter are traveling through your 7th House helping you find someone who can expand your horizons but also provide you with stability. Venus is in your 6th House reaching out to Uranus in your 10th House. There could be a raise involved with any career/work shifts you make. Although you may not have expected it, it will be more than anticipated.

Virgo & Virgo Rising

The Earth energy is strong on this New Moon in fellow Earth sign of Capricorn! The idea of joy and personal happiness is coming into focus more and more. Over the last few years, you may have been trying to define yourself more, find what makes you happy and dip more into the creative sphere. You probably went through lulls - several ups and downs and creative sparks only to find walls. You have had Saturn in this area of your chart since late 2017. Now, this New Moon opens doors to your creative energy that you have building up to. This is all about conception - conception of ideas, children, projects, anything! You have the chance to do more of what you love and with the people you love! Pluto joins this New Moon to remind you how powerful you are and how deep your passion can run. You don’t have to hide your joy for the sake of fearing what others may think. If you want to have a kid, this New Moon is perfect for that! If you have kids or not, you may find yourself wanting to get more in touch with your inner child. Saturn leads this New Moon, so make sure you are taking care of your health and that you aren’t overworking. It is squaring with Mars in your 9th House, showing that by not making enough time for you or those you love, you are limiting yourself. It can take control of your well-being. There is a level of you needing to trust your gut right now. Venus does reach out to Uranus, so this harmony can show you how important it is to allow yourself to have more fun. Uranus adds an air of spontaneity and gives you the inspiration to create! Personal joy is a necessity, not a luxury.

Libra & Libra Rising

It seems that your home and family have been in focus over the last few years with the eclipses in your 4th House along with Saturn. You have been making internal structural changes to help yourself become more familiar with your emotional well-being. Some of you may have been redefining what the idea of home means to you. This New Moon now creates a new pathway, perhaps one that wasn’t so apparent from before! Use this New Moon to buy or sell a home, rent a new space, or simply update your space. Pluto’s conjunction with this New Moon will have you feeling more pulled to your own ancestry, roots and family shadows. If there is something that doesn’t sit well with you, you have the power to change it. If there are traditions that you enjoy, then uphold them and continue to practice them to keep them alive. Pluto is a reminder that you can honor while still reforming. You are no longer afraid of your emotions as you used to be. You are creating that inner sanctuary (and physical one too). Saturn is the star at this New Moon where it squares off with Mars in Taurus. Saturn’s position in your 5th House may have you feeling drained or uninspired. Mars is in your 8th House, asking you to take more time for your own healing journey. You may have lost the sense of what makes you happy, but maybe you just need to redefine it. Venus is in your 4th House reaching out to Uranus in your 8th. Updating your home can have a major impact on you. Venus is your ruling planet, so even making those small changes will go a long way. Rearrange your furniture or spend time with the women in your family to further understand your family’s history. Create a space where you feel at peace - both in your environment and in yourself.

Scorpio & Scorpio Rising

Your words have power. They are a form of magic, and yet there have been times over the last few years where you have felt at a loss for words. The eclipses of Capricorn/Cancer have been impacting your 3rd House since 2018, along with Saturn’s transit here too. This New Moon gives you a fresh start in this area of your life. The 3rd House is all about communication, ideas and thoughts. Now is the time to pick up the phone and reach out to your friends and connections. If you have been working on a project, this New Moon is perfect for helping you reach new heights. Pluto is joining this New Moon, changing some outdated thoughts and ideas that you may have held onto. You are having small shifts in your perspective that can lead to bigger changes. Be careful of getting caught up in what others may say and stay out of the gossip. Go your own way and focus on speaking your own truth. Saturn is the ruler of this New Moon, squaring off with your traditional ruler of Mars. There may be issues regarding your home and family and your partner. If there is an internal squabble between them, this is your chance to put this to rest. Now is the time to stand up and stop whatever issues may arise. In addition, your partner or close friend could be trying to pry too much to what you have going on below the surface. Make sure you vocalize your boundaries. Venus is reaching out to Uranus suggesting that you will be positively surprised by their response when you say what’s on your mind and assert stronger boundaries for yourself. If you have things you want to share, start by writing them down, so you can have strong clarity of mind.

SAGITTARIUS TO PISCES

Sagittarius & Sagittarius Rising

Money has been a hot topic for the last few years. Perhaps the balance between what is yours vs someone else’s (debts, a partner’s income, credits). You have hosted eclipses and Saturn in your 2nd House since 2018. So, the topic of ownership and self-worth has been a big one. How do you define your value outside of another’s? How do you find ways to be more dependent on yourself? These are all important questions that you have been answering. The New Moon in Capricorn will impact your 2nd House, opening a pathway to new sources of potential income or having you decide what is truly important to you. You have been working hard to uphold your beliefs and instilling new personal traditions for yourself. Pluto meets this New Moon showing you how far you have come over the last few years. You are seeing how much stronger you are and the metamorphosis you have gone through as you have transformed yourself. You are not the same person. You see how much hard work you have endured to get to a more stable place. Saturn is now in Aquarius, moving through your 3rd House. It leads this New Moon and squares with Taurus. Using your voice is becoming more impertinent. You can establish stronger boundaries and speak up about your newly held values to others. You are being asked to build stronger routines in your life that allow you to express your ideas more. Venus is traveling your 2nd House, which is always a good sign for money. It touches on Uranus in your 6th suggesting that you can create a healthier lifestyle by approaching work in a new way. Maybe you need more flexibility in your schedule. If so, work on that and try to find a job that gives you what you need. It could be as simple as telling your current employer what your expectations are. Another alternative is perhaps even working freelance or for yourself to build in a strong work/life balance.

Capricorn & Capricorn Rising

Who you are and what you want has been a theme for you. You have had a stellium of planets in your sign for the last few years and eclipses impacting you and your relationships. How you define yourself has shifted. Who you thought you were isn’t who you are right now. You have evolved and grown. There have been growing pains, but now you feel more confident. This New Moon gives you a chance to sort of break out and come into your own even more. What do you want? Go after it! Pluto is still in your sign, conjunct this New Moon. It is transforming how you see yourself more and more. You may be feeling like you are sort of emerging as a butterfly. Parts of you are no longer, but that is ok. You are making room for what matters and is truly important to you. Saturn, your ruler, is at the forefront of this New Moon. It squares off with Mars in Taurus. You may be feeling a little pressure financially. Perhaps now is the time to think about money and value in a new way. Is your happiness truly tied to the material possessions you have? Or is there something else that can bring you joy? Maybe, you can monetize your hobbies to bring these concepts together instead of seeing them as separate entities. Stop seeing your happiness as something outside of you. You are the maker of your joy. Venus is in your sign, adding a touch of balance right now. It is reaching out to Uranus in your 5th House. If you want to have kids, this New Moon could bring about a surprise conception. You can alternatively start a new creative endeavor that allows you to have more personal expression or that more deeply aligns with what you want in life. If you are single, use this New Moon to start a new romance (if you’d like). If you are attached, reconnect with your partner on a more playful and intimate level. Happy New Moon in your sign! The sky is the limit! Go go go!

Aquarius & Aquarius Rising

You are not quite ready to take leaps, but you are getting there. The last few years have brought to the surface areas of your life that you have ignored but needed your attention. It feels like there are still some more things to do, to tie up and finish before you move forward. However, that time is pretty much coming to an end. This New Moon gives you the chance to make any lasting changes and bring concrete endings to things that you know are done and over with. There is no use in dragging it out anymore. You need to follow your intuition and listen to yourself. With Pluto’s conjunction with this New Moon, you are seeing the profound impact that trusting yourself more can have on you. Now, you need to let go of what you can’t control and leave some things up to fate and chance. Overthinking isn’t getting you anywhere. Your 12th House is being highlighted, suggesting that getting more in tune with your own spirituality or inner knowing is what will serve you best. This comes at a perfect time as Saturn is now transiting your sign. Over the next few years, you are rebuilding your identity and sense of self. You are looking to make improvements, but you know that work is involved to make that happen. It isn’t going to happen overnight. Saturn squares Mars at this New Moon. So your inner sense of security is being challenged. Perhaps there is a dilemma between you, your sense of being and your home/family. There can be internal struggles and arguments or obstacles in these areas of your life. If you want to move, Mars will make things happen faster than you think, so you may have to come to terms with that. Again, sometimes things are out of our control. Venus is in your 12th House reaching out to Uranus in your 4th House. Know that the changes made to your home and environment will bring you more peace than you anticipate. Uranus suggests that there is a sense of community around you that can support you.

Pisces & Pisces Rising

Over the last few years, you have had eclipses and Saturn going through your 11th House. This rules hopes, dreams and connections/networks. You have redefined what a friend is to you, perhaps changing your community and letting those go that don’t align with your vision. Your dreams have come into a stronger focus, bearing more weight. You see how others can support you and uplift you to go after what you want, even if you have been afraid to do so. This New Moon opens the doors in this area of your life, suggesting that this is your chance to make the future you want in a big way. Whatever you see for yourself, whatever your hopes are, go for it. Don’t hold back. You are supported. Pluto’s conjunction with this New Moon is transforming and affirming. You are seeing how deeply impactful your friends and network is to you. Now is a time to join a club or association or connect with your friends to discuss your ideas. They will motivate you! Leaving a legacy is important. Saturn has moved from here and into your 12th House. So there is spiritual karma or debt that you are ending. You are tying up loose ends and preparing for a new cycle ahead. You may be realigning your intuitive self, but also questioning your spiritual practices. Mars is square Saturn at this New Moon, so don’t let anxiety get the best of you. Don’t complicate what you feel is right or true. Trust your instincts and emotions. If you feel the need to keep some things private, that is ok. There is no need to jump the gun or feel pressure to share what isn’t complete yet. Venus is in your 11th House reaching out to Uranus in the 3rd, so again friendships are helpful. If you need some clarity of mind, then open up to a close friend or find someone who thinks similarly to you to share and discuss. Venus in the 11th can also point to money coming to you through your contacts and those that you are connected with. If you work for yourself, word of mouth seems to be helping your business. Get your contracts in order and use this New Moon to sign things IF you FEEL it is the right time to do so - not because you’re “supposed” to.

New Moon Note

Happy New Moon, everyone! This is the first New Moon of the year! It comes hand-in-hand with Pluto, giving us a chance to transform our internal and external structures. Saturn is the ruling planet for this lunation, but it squares Mars. Tensions can run high. We are being asked to put action behind our words. Talk is cheap. Venus is trine Uranus, giving us a space to see the reward when we approach things in a grounded manner. We have to be realistic and see the long term impact of our decisions on both a collective and personal level.
