The Full Moon is in Pisces 7º on August 30th at 9:36 PM ET. Even amidst practical Virgo Season, we are given a little healthy idealism with the Full Moon in Pisces, reminding us that life isn’t all work and no play—and that sometimes, seeing isn’t always believing. In the dream-like state of the Piscean mind, we are reminded to connect with parts of ourselves that have been long forgotten. The Full Moon illuminates our hopes, grounding our inspiration in our intuition. We channel the intangible into reality, connecting our spirit with our body.
Where do our boundaries lie? Are they limitations to our growth or structures put in place to ground us? As the Sun and Moon oppose each other in Virgo and Pisces, we have to find how and where we choose to expend our energy. These signs always bring up the issues surrounding service and sacrifice. Have we given up too much at the expense of our own needs?
Since Full Moons signal release, we are told to let go of limiting beliefs with Pisces. We have to swim in the sea of the spirit and get in touch with our soul’s desires.
The Sun opposes Saturn, while the Moon joins it. Both are held to conviction by this laborious planet. We are taking a hard look at what is seemingly valuable or important to us. Saturn asks that we spend time carefully removing the pieces that no longer fit in our lives. But in the same breath, it welcomes the opportunity for us to recognize the growth we have had in the last many months as Saturn has moved through Pisces. Recognition is the first step in embodiment.
It is important to note that this Full Moon is submerged in retrograde energy. This lunation is steeped in potential uncertainty, confusion, and lack of clarity. So you may be called to come back, refine, and reflect around this time. This would provide an excellent opportunity to finish something up that has been sitting on the back burner or to just simply pause. You may be drawn to conversations you have had in the past few weeks and seeking a resolution or release based on recent discoveries. Give yourself some grace and patience as you navigate this energy.
Mercury seeks guidance from Jupiter, the traditional ruler of this Full Moon. Under the trine, Mercury sees possibility—but may be prone to blind optimism especially as it is retrograde. The rational mind and abstract thought come together to expand our worldview. Mercury and Jupiter push us to listen to our intuition and the deep inner knowing that comes with it. There is wisdom that swells within our soul, that helps us along in this Earth incarnation. Mercury learns from Jupiter that some things don’t need explanation. Sometimes, they just need to be felt to be understood.
Venus finishes its last few days through its own retrograde motion. It squares Jupiter, bringing awareness to what the retrograde has been culminating for us all along. Jupiter helps to steer us and give us direction — especially as it positively connects with Mercury. When we break free from the things that keep us feeling less than, we find focus, determination, and expansion. Growth requires us to push beyond what we once believed possible or to be true.
If you have any personal planets in your chart at 2º to 12º, you will feel the effects of this Full Moon the most. Especially those with strong Mutable placements. So, let’s break this down by sign! Always read Sun, Moon, and Rising.

ARIES TO CANCER
Aries & Aries Rising
12th House | Mindfulness
This Full Moon is illuminating your 12th house, Aries, a place in your chart that normally remains behind the veil. As the only house in the chart that never sees the light of day from the Sun, we have to work extra hard to engage with whatever it is we have lurking there. Right now, you get a momentary exception to the obscurity of the 12th house as the Full Moon shines its light there.
In this moment, you may find yourself feeling especially tender or emotional in ways that feel out of character for you. There may be things you’ve long forgotten about or ignored or normally keep hidden that are coming to the surface now. Remember that Full Moons are times of release. Perhaps there are some old wounds that you’re ready to let go of or allow to come up for air so that they may better heal. Be kind to yourself, as is the true Piscean way.
Saturn, who is also traveling along your 12th house in Pisces, is put under the spotlight of the Full Moon, illuminating whatever teachings Saturn has been bringing you since March. The good news here is that Saturn loves to be in the 12th house - it's what's known as "the house of joy" for Saturn in Astrology - as Saturn can stay busy tending to all of its tasks undisturbed. Take a moment to really acknowledge everything Saturn has brought into your life over the past six months. How have things changed? What have you learned?
Jupiter, the leader of this lunation, continues its own journey through your 2nd house of value and resources and reaches out in support to the Full Moon. Perhaps there is a new sense of self-worth or resources you possess that can be discovered now.
Taurus & Taurus Rising
11th House | Hope
Social circles of all kinds are coming into focus as the Full Moon illuminates your 11th house, Taurus. This may be a busy, or particularly social time for you, especially with Jupiter hanging out in your first house, expanding your sense of self! This can be a beautiful moment for you to connect with your favorite people and nurture the relationships you hold dear, especially with Saturn traversing this area, bringing solidity to your circles of all kinds.
It's true that there may also have already been some moments of discerning which of your connections really ARE solid, and will be fulfilling to you in the long run. Remember that Full Moons are moments for letting go, too, so this may be the right time to shed those connections, as well.
Uranus, who has been hanging out in your first house for the past few years as well, has recently stationed retrograde. While Uranus has been liberating and enabling you to bring forward a more authentic version of yourself, the journey may be quite difficult for you, as someone who resists change. This retrograde is a moment for any internal changes that you may need to make in order to fortify the new identity that has been emerging over the past few years.
Gemini & Gemini Rising
10th House | Legacy
Underneath this Full Moon you may find yourself focused on fulfilling your purpose, Gemini, as the 10th house of your chart gets paid a visit. Saturn is also transiting this area of your chart, asking for you to get serious when it comes to your career, your legacy, and your reputation. Saturn always asks for us to commit and to work hard to follow through on this commitment. Now, as the Full Moon in Pisces moves to highlight this area of your life, as well, you may find yourself feeling the need to let go of whatever isn't serving you, career-wise, or perhaps gaining some new insights into what is truly going to fulfill you here.
Jupiter, the leader of this lunation, is hanging out in your 12th house: the one area in our charts that never sees the light of day from the Sun. In many ways, this house is the traditional home of Pisces, thus creating a certain connection here. This is a moment for you to really dream, and dream big, about your calling in life. What do you actually want to be doing, and what steps can you take to get there?
Uranus, who recently stationed retrograde, has also been trudging through your 12th house, unearthing the things you normally keep buried. Whatever you've been learning and changing through this process may also help you understand what truly feels fulfilling for you. There may also be some internal changes that need to be implemented.
Cancer & cancer Rising
9th House | Limitlessness
This Full Moon, your ruler, is bringing forward a plethora of themes for you, Cancer, including: adventure, travel, higher education, spirituality, and the big picture. These are all the themes of the 9th house, where the Full Moon in Pisces is shining brightly. Alongside Saturn, who has been transiting this area since March, there is likely a new, bigger picture for your life that has been emerging. Perhaps you've been feeling a desire to return to school, or to dive deeper into your spirituality, or to step into more of a teaching role somehow. Very often where the 9th is involved, there's also a need for a leap of faith. Allow the Full Moon to illuminate this new perspective and embrace whatever insights come your way. This would also be an excellent time to get out of dodge and literally expand your horizons, too.
Jupiter in Taurus, who leads this lunation, is hanging out in your 11th house along with Uranus, who has recently stationed retrograde, creating an emphasis on your networks of people. This combo has both created change throughout your social circles, and expansion. Spending time socializing with your favorite people during this time could also serve to broaden your horizons literally and figuratively, and will likely bring a new point of view to your life. Lean in.
LEO TO SCORPIO
Leo & Leo Rising
8th House | Healing
The Full Moon in Pisces is illuminating your 8th house, Leo, a place in the birth chart that normally lurks in the shadows. It is here that we look at themes of life, death, rebirth, and, ultimately, transformation. Other themes include secrets, sex, the occult, and shared resources aka the way you share and receive money from others. Saturn has been transiting this area of your chart since early March, looking to bring stability and implement new structures of support. Now, as the Full Moon illuminates the dark caverns of the 8th house, you may find yourself both finding greater understanding around these ideals, as well as possibly needing to release something in order to be reborn. Maybe there's a dynamic in your partnership that needs readjusting, or maybe you need to let go of an old avenue of resources in order to welcome in a new one that feels more aligned.
The leader of this Full Moon, Jupiter, is transiting your 10th house of career, legacy, and reputation, highlighting money matters in a big way. Perhaps there is a promotion on the horizon for you, or a change in jobs/the career entirely. Uranus, also in Taurus, has been shaking up this area of your life for the past few years, as well. As it's just stationed retrograde about 48 hours ahead of the Full Moon, you may also find yourself focusing on making changes internally that align with this new direction of your life.
Virgo & Virgo Rising
7th House | Receptivity
Partnerships are the main focus of this lunation for you, Virgo, with the Full Moon coming through to highlight areas of love, commitment, and all of your intimate partnerships, including potentially business ones. This is the perfect time to focus on your partner (if you're in a relationship) or just to hangout one-on-one with somebody you hold near and dear.
Saturn has been moving through your 7th house since March, asking you to redefine what you truly and want and need in love in the long-term. If you're in a partnership, Saturn may be bringing forward the next level of commitment - whatever that means. You may also be assessing if you're really getting what you need in relationships, as well. This Full Moon joins Saturn to illuminate these questions, and, depending upon the answers that are coming forward, you may find yourself moving away from certain connections, especially alongside Venus Retrograde. You have high standards, to be sure, and it's okay to honor them.
Jupiter, the leader of this Moon, and Uranus, both in Taurus, offer support from your 9th house, looking to expand your perspective. You may find that your ideals surrounding partnership are changing, as the big picture of what you really want and need in love has grown. Jupiter asks for a leap of faith in this department - love is a risk, after all. Lean in to what feels authentic, no matter how that looks right now.
Libra & Libra Rising
6th House | Ritual
Your everyday life comes into focus underneath this Full Moon, Libra, as the Full Moon lights up your daily routines, rituals, physical health, and your job. Saturn, who has been moving through this same area in your chart, has been bringing forward some hard truths about your health, and making you work hard to implement the structure you need in your daily life to thrive. Ideally, through this process, you've also realized what is and isn't working for you anymore. There may even be some new realizations that come forward underneath the illumination of the Full Moon in Pisces, inspiring you to let go of old habits that stand in the way of your health and/or your ability to find happiness in your daily life. Allow those things to melt away now.
The leader of this lunation is Jupiter, who is hanging out in Taurus alongside Uranus, who has just stationed retrograde, in your 8th house of shared resources, transformation, sex, and the occult. There is something about support from others that can be helpful right now. Perhaps having a boost from someone else in your daily life could help you make the necessary changes you need. There may also be a certain death that is necessary in order to evolve into the version of yourself that is healthier, more organized, and ultimately more fulfilled. Let others be there for you while you make these changes for once.
Scorpio & Scorpio Rising
5th House | Expression
This Full Moon is a moment to focus on the idea of joy, pleasure, fun, and creativity, Scorpio, which all fall under the Piscean domain for you. Saturn has been transiting this area of your chart since early March, asking you to friend your commitment to love, pleasure, and fulfillment. Now as the Full Moon joins up with Saturn and illuminates these themes, it's time to get serious about your joy, and release whatever has been blocking you from experiencing it. It may be time to get creative and get in touch with your inner child again - whether through an artistic activity or hanging out with actual kids. Keep in mind, too, that one of the lessons of the 5th house is that not everything is that deep - an often difficult concept for you to accept. Truly, though, sometimes we just do things because we want to; because they're fun. That is reason enough.
Indeed romance may truly be the name of the game here, with Jupiter, the leader of this lunation, transiting your sector of committed partnerships. Jupiter wants to expand anything it touches, and whenever Jupiter transits our 7th house we can find ourselves with a long list of interested potential partners, or with our current relationship looking to take on a deeper commitment. Now is the time to welcome in love and to allow yourself to derive pleasure from it. Allow your defenses to come down and soften into joy.
SAGITTARIUS TO PISCES
Sagittarius & Sagittarius Rising
4th House | Home
You may find yourself feeling rather withdrawn or low energy underneath this lunation, Sagittarius, as the Full Moon highlights the lowest point in your birth chart, the 4th house. This area of your chart has been taking a hit from Saturn since early March, creating quite a bit of tension as it grinds up against your sense of self. This may have been playing out as a push and pull between your desire to escape and be out in the world, going on adventures, and the desire to stay home, spend time in introversion, or maybe even with your family. Now, as the Full Moon moves in to highlight this tension, there may be an increase in that push and pull. Ideally there's a balance to be had here, but it may take some flexibility and release on your part.
Meanwhile, Jupiter, who is hanging out in Taurus, leads this Moon from your 6th house of daily routines, alongside Uranus who has just stationed retrograde there. The connection between this house and the 4th house where the Moon and Saturn are is really pushing you to assess the way you're living your daily life. It can't be go, go, go all the time, Sagittarius. Even the busiest and most adventurous among us need to slow down sometimes. Take a moment to relax, and check in with your body. If you're tired, rest! Burnout is real and without giving your body the nourishment it needs, you will be there soon enough.
Capricorn & Capricorn Rising
3rd House | Communication
This may actually be quite a busy time for you, Capricorn, with the Full Moon highlighting your 3rd house of short-term travel, your local environment, and communication. Saturn, your ruler, has been putting its focus and attention on this area of your life since early March, asking you about the fine details and the ways you're communicating with others. Now, as the Full Moon in Pisces conjoins Saturn, perhaps there are some perspectives or stories you've held about yourself that you're ready to let go of in lieu of something more true. Perhaps a short trip or getting out into your local environment could also serve to shift your perspective. If an invitation to do something social comes forward, take them up on it.
Jupiter, the leader of the Full Moon, brings plenty of support to your social life from your 5th house of joy, fulfillment, pleasure, and the present moment. You tend to be a very serious person, Capricorn, and both Jupiter and Uranus - who has been shaking up these concepts for you the past few years - are really pushing you to prioritize experiencing more fun in your life. Jupiter in particular is looking to expand these concepts for you, and Uranus, who is freshly retrograde, is asking you to make some real changes inside to find value in the lighter side of life. Push yourself to do something fun.
Aquarius & Aquarius Rising
2nd House | Abundance
The Pisces Full Moon is lighting up your 2nd house of resources and self-worth, Aquarius, bringing into focus your idea of value. Saturn, your traditional ruler, has been moving through this house since early March, wanting to bring stability to your finances, the home, your material possessions, and your self-esteem. Now, as the Full Moon in Pisces links up with Saturn, it's time to assess what you value, as well as the value you assign to yourself. Self-esteem can be a fickle thing, it's true, but now is the time to let go of whatever it is that's holding you back from feeling good about yourself.
Jupiter, currently chilling in Taurus, continues its stead in your 4th house of family and foundations, alongside your modern ruler, Uranus, who has brought focus and big changes here for the past few years. In that sense, the past few years of your life may have been a particularly introverted period. Perhaps your sense of family and time has been a focus in a way you're not used to, with Uranus shaking up these dynamics in some way. With Jupiter here now, there's a certain balance between change and expansion that is asking for your attention. With Uranus having stationed retrograde only a mere 48 hours prior to the Full Moon, your focus now moves to the changes you need to make inside in the wake of whatever changes have happened externally.
Pisces & Pisces Rising
1st House | Motivation
The Full Moon is shining bright in your first house, Pisces, asking you to do the same! Take note of how it feels to have the focus on yourself, which is far from the norm for you. Ideally, this lunation has you feeling fantastic, as it illuminates all of the unique characteristics that make you, you. However, as Full Moons also ask us about release, perhaps it’s also time to say goodbye to old versions of yourself that you’ve outgrown.
Saturn echoes this sentiment from your first house as well, where it's been hanging out since March. Whenever Saturn transits the first house, we go through a period of maturity. We find ourselves asking whether or not we're being as effective as we'd like to be out in the world. Now, as the Full Moon moves to illuminate Saturn, you may find some important realizations about yourself coming to the forefront. Perhaps there are certain behaviors or characteristics you're ready to let go of, in lieu of something more solid or mature.
Jupiter, your ruler, is hanging out in your 3rd house, looking to expand the stories or beliefs you hold about yourself. Truly this is a moment for self-expansion and self-expression in a new way! Remember that the keyword with Jupiter will always be "optimism."
Uranus, who has also been hanging out in your 3rd house for several years, has been shaking up your perspective - ideally liberating you from tired and outdated beliefs about yourself. As it has just stationed retrograde, now is the time to check-in and intentionally engage with the story you're writing about yourself.
