Aquarius Full Moon Miniscopes

Aquarius Full Moon
Moon Miniscopes

Disappointments Create Opportunities.

The Full Moon falls at 27º Aquarius, 2:26 PM ET on August 19th. This Full Moon comes as a marker, an illuminated pinnacle. It signifies the power of release and finding our way through the tensions we may have faced lately. With Aquarian energy so prominent at this Full Moon, we will have our eyes fixated on our hopes, dreams, and wishes—perhaps even our network, community, and friendships. We have to recognize where we are and who we surround ourselves with and see how that impacts the big picture (not only in our lives personally but also collectively). Aquarius brings truth, unmoved and undeterred, in the pursuit of understanding where we belong in the grand scheme of it all.

Saturn traditionally leads this Full Moon, making plenty of aspects to keep it active. It meets in opposition to Venus, its long-time companion. Saturn’s opposition can add a bit of heaviness to this Full Moon, almost as if letting go isn’t as easy as we hope. Unfortunately, the tense aspect of this lunation does not end with Saturn. Uranus is the modern ruler of Aquarius and will also partially lead this lunation. Uranus represents a need to be free. The Sun, Moon, and Uranus—three big powerhouses are at odds with one another. Uranus reinforces an ongoing narrative that has been playing out throughout the Cancer and Leo seasons as it meets the Sun in a square. With Fixed energy being the central focus, we must find ways to free ourselves from outdated or overly traditional mindsets. Uranus is swirling like a radical storm around this time, pulsing seismic activity to show us cracks in our own inner foundations. We feel a need to stabilize, but Uranus will tell us to upheave. But not all hope is lost; the Moon is in Aquarius, after all!

Saturn continues to be focal as it not only opposes Venus but squares Mars and Jupiter. In some ways, the outlet of this tension is Mars and Jupiter. Mars is receiving a boost of energy from Jupiter. Both are traveling through Mutable Gemini, asking us to shift and be flexible. Jupiter will encapsulate us in its expansive vision, pushing us to move through whatever difficulties could arise from this lunation. With Venus and Saturn both square Jupiter, that expansiveness can be hard to see at first. We may feel an initial disappointment, but disappointment can lead to opportunity. Disappointment forces us to look around at what we had been missing this whole time. This is where the Mars/Jupiter conjunction can be supportive. They create insurmountable energy, a desire to preserve and be heroic. Even through any harsh realities, we face at this Full Moon, both Mars and Jupiter will give us the gusto to overcome; a resilience unmatched.

Don’t give up on something you feel passionate about, but do know that sometimes things take longer to achieve than we realize. It is important to recognize the collective focus of this lunation. The gifts of Aquarius are connection and idealism. Keeping that in mind means that as we pursue our goals, we must make sure we have people around us who want to see us succeed and will help us arrive there. Accepting that support will be monumental. You never have to face anything completely alone.

If you have any personal planets in your chart at 0º to 2º or 22º to 29º, you will feel the effects of this Full Moon the most. Especially those with strong Fixed placements. So, let’s break this down by sign! Always read Sun, Moon, and Rising.

ARIES TO CANCER

Aries & Aries Rising

At this Full Moon, the big questions are: where do you find hope? Who is there to support you? You are someone who may often try to do things all on your own. But at what cost? As we enter this Full Moon, your hopes, dreams, wishes, network, and support system all come into focus — as this Full Moon falls in your 11th House. Who do you call upon in your time of need? We can’t be the stabilizing factor for others all the time. Sometimes, we need people to rally around us too. Luckily, this Full Moon ensures that you have that. Friends are showing up for you, and a dream seems to be within reach. Yet, there is an air of uncertainty.

Uranus and Saturn lead this Full Moon. Uranus squares the Full, throwing thunderbolts of electricity from your 2nd House. You could be facing self-confidence or self-worth issues. Maybe this creates doubt in how you expend your energy. Alternatively, you could be battling something financial around this Full Moon that is making it harder to keep your cool. There could be an unexpected bill, or maybe a dream/idea comes at a cost. Uranus is a wildcard, and it is hard to see how it may play out. Expected the unexpected.

Saturn adds to this energy in a way. It opposes Venus and squares Mars/Jupiter, bringing with it a sense of restraint. Saturn is telling you that it is time to leave the past behind. You have to trust your intuition more than you ever have before. Saturn gifts you spiritual wisdom and the knowledge that you can still move ahead without a fully formulated plan. You may feel you may need to make some sacrifices or compromises along the way. This isn’t forever — and really it may not even be the case at all. Saturn is also teaching you the value of an ending and closure. The resolutions we may see in the coming weeks, months, or years will be telling of the future that will unfold before you. Nothing can stay as it is forever, but evolution is what makes life so precious.

Use this Full Moon to open yourself to possibility. It is time to ask for help and see that the future is co-created. It requires that you have the will to seek support. Everything is in flux, but the outcome will present itself soon. Things may come and go in life, but focus on the people that remain a constant.

Taurus & Taurus Rising

What is the pinnacle for you? The Aquarius Full Moon usually turns your focus toward your outward life, publicity, and career. This also encompasses your direction and achievements. The last 6 months have had you working hard and making decisions that impacted your future — and now it seems that you are either beginning or about to begin a new phase. This Full Moon falls in your 10th House that rules all of these things: career, direction, and publicity. You may not realize it, but you are in a position of power right now. The ball is seemingly in your court. You could be going for a promotion, looking to switch careers, move, or even change what you do for work. Whatever it is, how you build foundation and security in the world is in focus.

There may be hiccups as the Full Moon will square off with Uranus. Uranus is sitting in your 1st House, creating waves for the last few years. You have been finding new ways to change how you approach your identity and motivations. This is about freeing yourself from past versions of yourself. Because of the tension between the lunation and Uranus, one of the freedoms must be around expectations. If things have been rocky, it is time to clear the air. Uranus will create surprises, so watch people’s behavior. Don’t try to control what or who you can’t. We just have to go with the flow with this Full Moon.

Saturn’s influence at this Full Moon is equally as strong as it opposes Venus and squares Mars and Jupiter. Perhaps there is a limitation created in the area of your dreams. A friend could be going through a hard time or weighing heavily on you at this time. So, as much as others may show up for you, you may feel the reciprocal need to do the same. Alternatively, you could be looking at how you can lessen a burden you’ve been carrying, as Venus, Mars, and Jupiter all seek to free themselves from the confines of Saturn. Saturn rules time and in the case of your aspirations, give yourself grace. Longevity is a big part of what you are working toward. Immediate results are unlikely. You may even feel there is a trade-off or sacrifice you may need to make to achieve what you hope for.

Use this Full Moon to start a new journey in your life direction or career. Go for a promotion, a new job, or even a career change. Put yourself up on a pedestal more and see your worth and value as it is in the light of day. Work on your long-term goals and start making moves to bring them to fruition. You have a lot of power in your hands right now. How are you going to use it?

Gemini & Gemini Rising

Faith — a word that you must work with more. You must learn the power of having faith in yourself and taking a leap toward your goals and dreams. The Aquarius Full Moon brings the energy to nurture areas of growth in your life. There is a sense that your paths to growth, evolution, change, expansion, and new territory are opening up. This can happen through education, spirituality, work, or even just your personal next steps. You have been sitting with “where do I go from here” for quite some time. This is your chance to make moves. Of course, that requires that keyword: Faith.

Perhaps you have been overthinking things lately or just not focusing – thus scattering your energy into too many things. The Full Moon is under fire from Uranus, creating tension. Uranus sits in your 12th House. You are trying to talk things out, but you aren’t being heard. The 12th House rules all that’s hidden: secrets, dreams, subconscious energy, and even enemies. Someone may show you their true colors now — and not in the way you had anticipated.

Emotions will run high at this Full Moon, but know with Uranus in the 12th House like this, it will bring an ending. Maybe it is time to finally let go of something or someone in your life. Uranus wants you to trust your intuition more than anything. Saturn will oppose Venus and square Mars and Jupiter at this lunation, trying to keep things in order. It can feel heavy, but also help us with long-term planning. Even through the work you are doing in your career or public image, there is a dismantling, breakdown, or restructuring coming. You could feel limited in what you are able to share or speak upon. But ultimately, you know that are you building toward a long-term future goal. It may feel heavy at first, and not everyone is going to receive what you are doing well. However, do not let this be a deterrent. Saturn reminds us that in time everything will balance out. You have been here before in your life. The weight you feel will subside.

Use this Full Moon to truly believe in yourself, opening up the floodgates of potential. Take time, and see the sky's the limit. You have to learn that some risks are worth the reward. You are itching to travel, go to new places, meet new people, or simply engage in new experiences overall. You are seeking a fresh start, and this Full moon can give it to you. What are you waiting for?

Cancer & cancer Rising

It is time to get intimate. You have to face the shadow eventually, and right now, you are asked to see what has been hidden from view or deal with what has been left unchecked. The Full Moon shines a light in your 8th House. This is a time of transformation, change, and evolution – but also a time of healing and sharing the deepest parts of yourself with someone else. There is a level of fear that can be associated with this, understandably. You are very close-lipped about your emotional nature. But sometimes, stability requires sharing what lies beneath the foundation. Questions around worth, shared resources, sexuality, close partnerships, and money could come up now.

Uranus, a co-ruler to the Full Moon, is creating activity and little tension from your 11th House as it squares the lunation. It seems that a friend, relationship, or dream is being questioned. They could be depleting your resources (emotional and financially), as well as having you think about the longevity of it all. If it is a dream, maybe you are trying to figure out how to fund it. Well, with Uranus — inspiration can come! If it is a friend or relationship, Uranus is much more unpredictable. It is hard to figure out the outcome, but know you must have open and honest communication. The 11th House, where Uranus is, rules the future. So, your future is coming into focus and something needs to be addressed that impacts that. It will take some tact and maybe overcoming the fears you hold to help you see things through.

Saturn is the other ruler of this lunation. It sits in tight opposition to Venus and a square to Mars and Jupiter. Here, it helps us seek grounding and focus in the chaos that is Uranus’s energy. It reminds us that in the uncertainty, we may have to let go a bit or seek out space for sharing how we really feel about a situation. Saturn brings you experiential wisdom, where you learn hands-on, or through the process. Be careful when traveling at this time, as Saturn could bring delays. In the pursuit of your goals, know that you will not see immediate results. You are creating foundations for the future. Obstacles now aren’t obstacles forever. They are meant to fortify what has yet to come, even if it is destabilizing in the moment.

Use this Full Moon to start a new cycle for yourself and embrace your shadows. Commune with your inner world and transmute grief into strength. Find new ways of investing or saving financially, but also investing in yourself. Work on getting more intimate with your needs — find the hidden power that lies within you. Form deeper bonds with those you trust.

LEO TO SCORPIO

Leo & Leo Rising

The tone shifts from the New Moon to the Full Moon, where we focus on the “we.” Especially as your 7th House is coming into play under the energy of this Full Moon. You have been undergoing changes in how you approach relationships. This impacts how you engage in the world around you — and most importantly your one-on-one relationships. Even if you have felt that you had things figured out, this Full Moon brings an opportunity to make changes on the partnership front. This could look like anything, but the main factor here is that you have a choice. You can take things to the next level or choose to walk away. Some of you may be very happy in your relationship and seek to settle more into it. Others see that they may need to have conversations about reciprocity. Equality and level-setting seem to be coming up as well. This could be outside of romantic relationships – seeping into other personal or professional unions you have (friends, family, work).

Uranus squares the Full Moon, creating electricity from your 10th House. There is something going on at work. There could be a restructure, a surprise, or a change in your career, office, responsibilities — or even in your own life direction! You may be questioning your vocation or might need to reframe your perspective to align with where you want to be. This could encompass working for yourself, changes to your personal life, or even a promotion. But whatever it is, Uranus is definitely bringing a call for attention — and possibly action. Know if something comes to an end, there will be something new that comes just as quickly. Uranus is the liberator, so you could be freeing yourself from the confines of your work and moving into a new field entirely (whether by your own accord or not). But it is unpredictable, so we have to roll with the punches with Uranus.

Saturn co-rules the lunation with Uranus, and it sits in an opposition to Venus and square to Mars and Jupiter. Here, Saturn is a grounding force. Saturn may bring weight to feeling or shadow that sits in your heart, body, or soul. What feels like a limitation now is a point of power for you. This is a reclamation of sorts. Look your fear in the face, name it, and no longer let it control you. Saturn is helping you build long-term structures in the way you give and receive. But the requirement is to get intimate, real, and honest. The weight of the world is not on your shoulders. Put it down. If things feel heavy in this moment, know that it is only temporary. Frustrations will pass with time.

Use this Full Moon to start something new with other people in your life. Enact boundaries and keep them. Stand up for yourself. Form new relationships and alliances. Seek counsel and re-evaluate people who have been disrespecting your energy. Strengthen the partnerships that truly matter. Some of you may even decide to take your romantic relationship to the next level. Whatever you do, know that you will likely surprise those around you.

Virgo & Virgo Rising

This Full Moon is a call to connect with yourself, your body, and the world around you. You are asked to get organized. Sometimes, order can help you focus, and this energy is with you to get down to business. You can make turning points in your health and work while creating new routines and rituals that fit your needs now. If you need medical care, this Full Moon will highlight that. You should schedule routine visits and simply do what you can to honor your body overall. If you are looking for freelance work, a new job, or even just a lateral move, this Full Moon can help you too.

Uranus, a co-ruler of this lunation, squares the Full Moon from your 9th House, so you could be questioning your next leap in life — your next steps. Your goals and future are being reflected upon. Perhaps you are trying to find new ways to grow and this requires a shift in perspective. Morality and education will come up here. You will have to take a stance on something you believe in and not be afraid to share this viewpoint with others…even if it upsets them. You may also be facing a crisis of consciousness, trying to learn to have faith, even when you may doubt yourself. This square can create tension and unforeseen issues. Try not to feel destabilized.

Saturn, the other ruler of this Full Moon, will oppose Venus and square Mars and Saturn. The relationships you establish or reinforce now will have longevity — including the relationship you have with yourself. It could be a good time to commit. However, there may also be a heaviness you feel around others and the processing of your own boundaries. You could feel disappointed by the actions of someone close to you. There may also be disagreements in regard to how you approach your life and expectations that are had between you and others. Perhaps relationships feel a little unequal now. Don’t be afraid to assert yourself and ask for what you deserve. Ultimately, Saturn is creating a space for you to share with others exactly what you need.

Use this Full Moon to find new routines and regimens that work for you. Create daily practices that you can keep while maintaining your love of variety. Try new workouts and adhere to a healthier diet. You may be asked to let go of a bad habit or improve something in your life. Watch how much you take on and make time for rest and self-care. Take care of your body, and your needs, and know it is ok to nourish yourself too.

Libra & Libra Rising

Full Moons are a time of illumination. This one comes in to remind you of your happiness, joy, and pleasure. It falls in your 5th House of creativity, conception, love, and children. You are asked to have the courage to be yourself and find ways to do things that set your heart on fire. This fiery area of your chart activates pleasure-seeking and learning to embrace our sense of expression. The Moon shines to bring about ways for you to take center stage. However, this Full Moon is under siege by Uranus, throwing thunderbolts of electricity from your 8th House.

Uranus is in your 8th House of intimacy, shared resources, and healing. There needs to be a bit of a death…metaphorically of course. An outdated idea or mentality has to go so that you can actually achieve a dream. This also requires that you get intimate with yourself and others. Are you sharing the deepest parts of yourself? Do people know what is really going on behind the scenes? You can’t hide forever, and Uranus will have you feeling electric as you are itching to break out of your own skin. You have to be willing to confront your shadows or your demons. Seeking counsel will be important— even if it is just from a friend. You have to get out of your own way.

Saturn, a co-ruler of this lunation with Uranus, will be opposite Venus and square Mars and Jupiter. Saturn can have weighted energy. It is helping you restructure your routines and daily life. Saturn has been teaching you lessons on work/life balance and asking for you to know your limits and what you can take on. If you accept a new position or job, Saturn will ensure that this is a long-term choice, but it comes with more responsibility. Be aware of what you commit to. Understand the implications of the decisions you make. It is ok to take your time before rushing into anything. In general, work and daily life will feel a bit taxing now, too. Know that the the intensity or disappointments you feel are temporary. The weight of Saturn will ease as the Mutable T-square dissipates in the coming weeks. You may have a desire to grow in certain areas of your life, but that time is just not yet. However, it is coming! Patience is key.

Use this Full Moon to let loose and have a bit of fun! Work on finding your strengths and using them to your advantage. Follow your heart and your creativity — let it all flow. Get in touch with your inner child and open yourself up to new experiences. Most importantly, take time to stand out and shine radiantly! You deserve to be happy as much as anyone else does. It doesn’t make you selfish. It just makes you human. Have pride in who you are.

Scorpio & Scorpio Rising

This Full Moon falls in a Fixed sign like yours, so the energy will feel more potent for you. With a Fixed Full Moon, what we find can last for a long time. With it in Aquarius, it impacts areas of your life that need attention. This would be your 4th House of home, family, foundation, and roots. You may find that you are having to face familial matters you have been avoiding. Alternatively, you could be doing work around the home: buying, selling, moving, and redecorating. Whatever it is, it seems that you are sitting at the center of this space. There may be hiccups, as the Full Moon will square off with Uranus.

Uranus is the planet of surprise, with an unpredictable nature. You may be shocked at what you discover around this Full Moon – particularly around your partnerships or closest one-on-one relationships. You may be ending a partnership (business or romantic) or be presented with something you had not considered before. Whatever it is, it doesn’t seem you were privy to the reaction or information. Of course, this could be a good surprise — as you never know with Uranus. Some of you may unexpectedly get a job offer, asked to be engaged, or take a relationship to the next level! With Uranus at play, it is best to not try to control the circumstances. This is a time to take a leap and see where it takes you, even if it shakes your sense of security. Keep in mind the 7th House, where Uranus is, rules all one-on-one relationships: business, familial, platonic, romantic, contractual, etc.

This Full Moon also comes with a strong opposition between Venus and Saturn and Saturn square Mars/Jupiter. Saturn is one of the rulers of this lunation. Saturn has been teaching you lessons of actively giving yourself space to seek pleasure. Saturn may remind you of the value of doing things that make you happy. It can keep us grounded in the face of Uranus’s chaos. There may be some disappointments or recognitions around how you put your heart forward. You may need to carve out time for your joy and make long-term commitments to yourself in a new way. The heaviness you may feel now is temporary through the process of giving yourself what you need to feel loved.

Use this Full Moon to focus on your home and family life. Redecorate, renovate, or move. Try resolving past issues with family that may be residual or seek to create better boundaries with them. Take time away to rest and reflect on this lunation. Lean into your nostalgia a bit and make peace with the past. Open yourself up to ancestral guidance, learn more about your lineage and connect with those you love — living or deceased. Know that you create the security and safety you seek.

SAGITTARIUS TO PISCES

Sagittarius & Sagittarius Rising

It’s that time again! The Full Moon is here! This one falls in Aquarius, shining a light on your 3rd House. The 3rd House rules communication, connection, understanding, local community, siblings, and writing. This is the area of our chart where we tell people who we are and where we process information. This Full Moon will have you with no shortage of ideas or things to say — but you may be feeling caught in analysis paralysis. Perhaps you have been overthinking things lately or just not focusing, thus scattering your energy into too many things. To add to the matter, The Full Moon is under fire from Uranus, creating tension.

Uranus is sitting in your 6th House. Work or your daily life seems to be busier than ever, almost a little overwhelming. You have been running around with no clear direction. It is muddying what you hope for and causing you to not see the big picture…your goals. Uranus is creating changes with work, health, and routines. Some of these are outside your control. It could be feast or famine, or maybe you are just looking to free yourself from the norms you have always known. Uranus pushes you toward understanding that you can’t control the circumstances, but you can control the outcome. You need to reframe your security. If you are having health issues, take charge. Alternatively, if this is about lifestyle, then maybe you need to rethink how you go about your routines. Make health a priority so that you can live out your future goals.

Saturn co-rules this lunation with Uranus, where it will oppose Venus and square Mars/Saturn. With all of these in Mutable signs, you seem to be at the helm of major change. Saturn tries to ground us from the chaotic nature of Uranus, and here you are tasked to reimagine your idea of home or your role within your family. Now, you are focused on creating a more sturdy foundation in this area of your life. You may have to face a harsh reality in relation to your inner world or home space. What you thought brought you safety may no longer. Alternatively, you could explore a redefinition of family or home in your own right. Saturn pushes us toward long-term decisions. The energy will feel heavy around this Full Moon, but it is temporary. Additionally, you may feel you lack support from a partner, as Mars and Jupiter don’t help the disappointments of Saturn.

Use this Full Moon to really lean into using your voice. Listen to what others have to say— but also share what you need or think. Start a new project or reach out to those around you. Connect with friends and siblings. Write down all of your ideas and seek adventure close to home. Be flexible, use what you know, and adapt to the situations that are around you.

Capricorn & Capricorn Rising

This time of year can have your mind on finances. The Aquarius Full Moon always brings up questions about money, value, and worth. This is because the Moon goes through your 2nd House of income, self-worth, and material possessions. Actually, it seems that you could have the potential to make changes to how you earn money. You could be looking to bring in more or simply change your relationship with money. You may also have higher expenditures than normal. So, pay attention to your financial picture (especially with the Uranus square I will be talking about shortly). Alternatively, you could be making changes to your self-confidence and what you stand for or believe in. The last few years have seen you grow, evolving into a new person. Thus, you are making shifts in what you choose to find value in. What would you consider to be a tradition for you? What gives you a sense of worth? Don’t allow this to be tied to other people, as Uranus (see I told you we would get there) is squaring the Full Moon.

Uranus is making things a little unpredictable. There is an air of uncertainty around this Full Moon. Uranus sits in your 5th House of expression, creativity, love, and self-confidence. You could feel that your confidence is shaky or that you are not expressing how you feel correctly. Uranus is itching to help you break free from limitations and choose to take that plunge, that leap. You have to put yourself out there, even if it seems hard so that people can see the real you…all of you. You can’t hide anymore. The ways in which you have made yourself small are coming to a head. Positively, this can be a very inspiring creative time for you! So lean into this aspect.

Saturn, your ruler, is in a prominent position at this lunation. It opposes Venus and squares Mars and Jupiter, making it hard to be levelheaded or grounded as it adds an element of restraint. It asks that you focus on what you say and how you are saying it. If you sign a contract, it could have a long-term impact. Saturn may also keep you feeling boxed in, which is where Uranus’s energy is conflicting. You could find that you are having a hard time sharing how you feel or even being heard. Understand that your voice is a point of power right now. Don’t quiet yourself in the face of criticism. Overthinking can be a trap right now. Find an outlet that allows you to move through your feelings or thoughts in some way, even if it is journaling, tarot cards, therapy, going on a walk, etc.

Use this Full Moon to open doors to new resources and focus on what you have and what you can gain. You may have to let go to receive. Seek alternative sources of income or money. Look to new pathways of earning. Confront your feeling of being unworthy. Hold yourself in high regard and own your value. Your talents bring you everything you want. You own, create, and hold all of the potential in your own hands.

Aquarius & Aquarius Rising

It is your time, dear Aquarius! Don’t let anyone dim your light. This Full Moon is a call to come home back to yourself, finding clarity in your identity, and what you actually want in life. It falls in your 1st House of self. You are carving out a new space for you to be more…you. This is important, as you have been working hard the last many years to figure out what you actually want. At this Full Moon, you will put what you’ve learned to the test! It isn’t just that you have gained new insight, but what you actually do with it.

Uranus is in your 4th House, squaring off with the Full Moon. So, it seems that you may feel pulled in two directions. You could have shifts coming at home that you were not privy to. There may be surprises that pop up, and in turn, this could place stress on you. This Full Moon makes alterations to how you view your family. Perhaps shifting your home/family itself (is there a new member coming, or is your family dynamic restructuring/changing?). You may feel the need to nest or ground yourself. This is a call to withdraw a bit. It is hard to tell what will happen, as Uranus is a planet of unpredictability. However, it is your co-ruler, so the outcome could be favorable for you. It helps you bring an end to something that may have been holding you back — or it could allow you to listen to your intuition more.

Saturn, the other ruler of this lunation, is in tight opposition to Venus and a square to Mars and Jupiter. The energy here can feel binding. As if to say, whatever you start now will have a long-term impact on your resources and financial picture. This may create some pressure for you, however. So be mindful of the feelings you are placing on materiality and worth. You don’t need to make a passion or hobby a financial obligation. Actually, Saturn is helping you separate your feelings from your personal and professional life. You can leverage a talent in a way that creates a new type of security. It just requires some restructuring in how you feel about it. Also, ongoing health issues that have arisen will have a turning point at this lunation, as mars and Jupiter work to unbind themselves from Saturn. Recovery is possible if you have an injury, but this point is the height of the process just before it gets better.

Use this Full Moon to call back your power. Stand in your body and fully own who you are. Run for what you want and start a new cycle in your being. Seek wholeness in your identity and share yourself unapologetically. Give yourself space for freedom and open the doors to change. Don’t resist what unfolds, instead leap into it. Embrace the present. Own your shadow — and your light.

Pisces & Pisces Rising

It is time to withdraw a bit, Pisces. You know your time is coming, but this Aquarius Full Moon highlights a time to go within and take time to rest. It falls in your 12th House, bringing something to a close and asking for respite. You could be working behind the scenes on a project, finishing up something personal, or even just taking some time off. The 12th House asks for you to get in touch with your intuition and pay attention to your dreams. You could be re-engaging with a more spiritual and hidden aspect of yourself now. You are asked to have faith and let go of control. This is a timely message as Uranus comes in to create tensions at this Full Moon.

Uranus is in your 3rd House. So, it seems that you may get unexpected news that shakes you up a bit. There may be information that comes out that really changes your perspective. It may come from a friend, sibling, neighbor, or someone in your local community. Alternatively, you could be signing a contract or dealing with paperwork and discover something you had not found before. Make sure you read everything VERY carefully before you commit or put your name on the paper. Uranus can create some general anxiety, but the Sun in the 6th House is helping you maintain focus — if you choose to control what you can. You may even get an unexpected offer for a job! Uranus is unpredictable, so it is hard to know how it will manifest in your life completely. One of the best ways Uranus can manifest is through inspiring ideas in your 3rd House. Uranus may push you to be more vocal or share — perhaps in ways you had not considered before.

Saturn has been teaching you lessons about letting go over the last few months. Saturn will oppose Venus in Virgo, your polar sign, and square off with Mars and Jupiter. Here you are told to remain grounded, secure, and focused. Saturn wants to know that you are unshakeable, and it grants you the ability to be just that. It offers you a chance to recognize how resilient you are — even in your gentleness. This is a fine time to refine how you see yourself and what you want out of life. The decisions you make may feel life-altering or heavy. But in reality, they will evolve as you do. Know that some things will take time, as Saturn rules time. So try not to seek immediate gratification. Because of the nature of this T-square, you could feel forced to put something down, surrender, or move on. It feels like the 6 of Swords. Walking away or making peace is essential. Know that the disappointments we feel are temporary as new opportunities are created on the other side. If something crumbles, let it. It wasn’t stable to begin with.

Use this Full Moon to slow down and focus on completion. Take time for rest, reflection, and respite. Turn your attention to what needs to be addressed and seek resolution. Close doors on what no longer holds value in your life — let go of limitations. Ease into the spiritual space and commune with your spirit. Give yourself forgiveness, grace, and peace. You deserve it now.

Leo New Moon Miniscopes

Leo New
Moon Miniscopes

Exploring New Territory.

The New Moon falls at 12º Leo, 7:13 AM ET on August 4th. Leo sees potential and sparks the fire to fan the flames. It creates what it desires into reality and births new life. This New Moon is no different. If anything, it reminds us what is worth igniting and what fire deserves to be sustained. Creation is at the heart of this lunation. With the Sun as the leader of this New Moon, we are told to stand in our power, our pleasure—and in some cases, our light. The Sun is active in its pursuits, and it achieves all it sets its mind to.

The Sun being the leader of this New Moon is important. It is worth noting that it never retrogrades, and it is fixed itself. So, we can charge ahead confidently with our eye on the prize, even in the face of adversity. The Sun and Moon will connect well with both Mars and Jupiter in a harmonious way. This welcomes opportunities for growth and expansion. The significance of these planets dynamically connecting around this New Moon is to help us bring everything back into perspective. This is a time for us to re-establish and re-inspire much of what we began the last few months or weeks. Leo’s fire is stoked by the airy energy of Jupiter in Gemini, allowing us to fuel the flames in our hearts, igniting passion. The question here may become: how do you keep that passion going? Mars may ask us to turn our passion inward so that we can keep our internal flames burning.

Venus has finished its square to Uranus, but there may be lingering effects, especially as it completes its final moments in Leo. We may be coming down from some surprises that were introduced to us earlier in the week or asked to follow threads of spontaneity as we move through this New Moon. The Venus/Uranus square always calls for whimsy at a time when we feel we can’t find it. The reasoning is that it reminds us that life is worth living. We can’t deny the unpredictability of time and space, but we can lean into it and find pleasure in the unknown.

Mars and Jupiter are playing around at this New Moon. Their conjunction can keep us focused, possibly even motivated to organize and act. Actually, Mars redirects us and empowers us to make important changes. We may feel the initial lightning strikes permeate the ground we stand on — they can be shocking and electrifying. However, Mars and Jupiter will keep us wrapped in a cocoon of protection. Together, they hold space for us as we seek to recover from any challenges we may face. Even more, they give us the gusto and energy to make a plan and creative solutions to anything that may arise. Sometimes it takes a jolt or sparks to remind us that anything is possible.

If you have any personal planets in your chart at 7º to 17º, you will feel the effects of this New Moon the most. Especially those with strong Fixed placements. So, let’s break this down by sign! Always read Sun, Moon, and Rising.

ARIES TO CANCER

Aries & Aries Rising

Passion leads to adventure. It seems you have been coming back to find what brings you joy and what you love. This is very important, as you may have lost your way in the last few weeks, months, or even year. However, you are getting your groove back and that is very apparent.

This New Moon comes to shine a light on your 5th House, and creativity is abundant now. You are called to see what sits right in front of you in this present moment. This isn’t about tomorrow or yesterday— just today. This can be hard for you, as you are a visionary. But slowing down and seeing what is here and now can actually inspire you. The 5th House rules creativity, conception, children, expression, love, and happiness. These areas will be highlighted. You are being called back to your passions and what drives you. You may be at a creative high, and you should follow that energy. However, you may also be doubting yourself a bit. Sometimes finding your way back to what you love isn’t easy. It takes courage and heart to make it there.

Jupiter supporting this New Moon from your 3rd House. You are likely to be busy and full of ideas — perhaps even more social than normal. It seems most people want to spend time with you! You may over-commit though, so watch for that. Ultimately, this New Moon will be quite playful for you. Follow the threads of spontaneity and excitement. They are leading you to new pathways! Saturn will ensure you know your limits, as it squares Jupiter and you will find the simple joys in everyday life. Be open to living in the present.

Use this New Moon to open yourself creatively. Follow your passions and listen to your heart. Go with what sets your soul ablaze and don’t let anyone stop you. Give voice to your happiness and your joy. You can take up space, it doesn’t mean that someone else doesn’t get their share, too. Your heart is your guiding force. Where will it lead you?

Taurus & Taurus Rising

If you have been feeling a little withdrawn lately, that is ok. Go with it. It seems that there has been so much emphasis on your work, career, and life direction—that it may be time to come home and tend to yourself in some way.

This New Moon falls in your 4th House at the bottom of your chart, and you need some TLC. You have a very “work” mentality, but rest can be equally as important. After a busy time of year, you can call it all inward. You may be connecting with family, doing a little redecorating, moving, or working with your ancestors. This New Moon is perfect for all things domestic and getting organized on the home front. You may be focusing on what matters to you and trying to create a better work/life balance.

A key player at this lunation is Jupiter. The New Moon reaches out to both Mars and Jupiter. The energy will have a bit of excitement and spontaneity. You may receive unexpected (yet somewhat positive news) regarding finances or resources! Keep your eyes peeled and open for new possibilities that will arise in the weeks following this lunation. Additionally, this “luck” or inspiration may be more on the homefront, where you are feeling more free and expansive in your own private space. Perhaps a turning point on a family matter that has been creating tension in your life, as well.

Use this New Moon for a little respite and bring it all home. Focus on your foundations. Listen to your emotional side and take moments of rest to help you recharge. Connect with family or your home in a new way. Redecorate, or even reorganize and donate old things around the house that you don’t want anymore!

Gemini & Gemini Rising

You are rarely short of ideas and now is no different. You have been in a period of seeking more growth, but sometimes growth can come in unique ways — potentially through interactions and dialogue. This is especially true with the New Moon in Leo highlighting your 3rd House.

This is a House of communication, thought, and idea. You may feel the need to share more than usual and tell people what is going on in your mind. You could be full of ideas and new inventions, thoughts, or concepts! Write them all down. You won’t want to lose track or lose sight of what is swirling around in that mind of yours. Now, a downside here could be increased busyness, as the 3rd House creates a flurry of little tasks that feel like they need to be tackled immediately. This can be difficult as it seems that you don’t want to miss something. There is a lot to keep track of, and with your mind racing it can be easy to have an oversight. Perspective will be really important for you. Try talking things out with someone—or have a friend or close friend hold you accountable to some of these tasks. Set alarms or ask for help where it is warranted. Communication is key now.

Jupiter and Mars are supportive from your 1st House. There may be unexpected information or news, perhaps even invitations out or trips that you had not anticipated needing to take! Go with it! The spontaneity and adventure could be great for you! There is an ask to seek a bit more adventure in your life. With Jupiter in your sign, the world is your oyster. You could also feel incredibly motivated to move ideas into actionable steps. Create space to explore the possibilities that life may present to you.

Use this New Moon to leverage your voice. Get in touch with those around you and share what is on your mind. Write things down and find ways to deal with the busy life you are surrounded by. Try to quiet those voices in your head that hold you back and seek help for any external stress you may be taking on or holding. Perspective is everything. You need to see things a little differently in order to get ahead.

Cancer & cancer Rising

Sometimes grounding is the best thing for you, especially in the face of all of the healing, changing, shifting, and opening you have been doing in the last few weeks. Leo Season is a great time for you to take hold of what is important to you and find the ground that you can stand on. What do you believe? What do you value?

It will shine on your 2nd House, so money could be on your mind, but also your own valuation, resources, and sense of security. You may have to release an expectation around where you find security during this New Moon, but know that leaves you with more opportunity to seek alternative routes and sources. You could be focused on increasing what you have or making peace with what you don’t. Whatever it is, the key there is “making peace”. Sometimes, having more doesn’t always equate to what you need. Maybe asking for support is the thing that will pull you through now. You could have a lead that takes you to a new job, new client, or new opportunity. Focus on your expenses and maybe see what you can change about your spending habits. Now note this could also be your emotional resources…so perhaps you need to be better at how you spend your energy. Overall though, there is a great chance to increase what is available to you.

Mars and Jupiter are incredibly helpful now. They harmonize with the Sun and Moon from the 12th House. You may have to let go of old mindsets or surrender to the unknown to receive the gifts that the world has to offer. Luckily though, it seems that there may be some joyous surprises coming your way with Jupiter present — especially when it comes to your stability, sense of value, or even possibly income. If an opportunity arises to showcase your talents or knowledge, don’t shy away from this! This can be a chance for incredible growth.

Use this New Moon to get a handle on your resources, material or otherwise. Figure out how to spend your energy — and on what. See what potential opportunities arise around money and try to network with people to see if newer clients or work can come up. Comb through the things you own and purge what isn’t good for you anymore. Get your finances in order. But above all else, focus on how to call back your power, your self-worth and your potential. You have to let go of what stands in the way of you seeing your true value. You are worthy.

LEO TO SCORPIO

Leo & Leo Rising

We are bringing something to the culmination for you, Leo. Think back to February 2024 at the Full Moon in your sign. What did you promise to yourself? What were your goals and motivations? Now you are being confronted with the same energy, but this time you are sewing new seeds — releasing what not longer supports you.

This New Moon illuminates your 1st House of self and identity, a place you know all too well. You may have to reckon with yourself, your motives, and your desires. This isn’t always easy to do. You are carving out a new space for you to be more…you. This is important, as you have been working hard the last year to figure out what you want. You can clarify who you are now more than ever.

Mars and Jupiter are sitting in a social place in your chart. Together, they are yielding community and connection in a big way. Jupiter brings an expansive energy, one of adventure and growth at this lunation. It will not only touch the Moon but also the Sun! So, a sense of liberation is coming from the heart and soul. We can feel open and grand. There is a huge alignment and shift within you and how you approach life in general. The people you surround yourself with will take notice and also shift to support the new you that is emerging. If some friends or community members fall back, allow them to, so that new ones may come forward.

Use this New Moon to focus on what you want out of life. See what brings your joy, passion, and happiness. Seek out desires and don’t be afraid to make your needs known. Work on creating more balance in your life and enacting your boundaries. It is important. Instead of carrying the burdens, seek help. You have to release what no longer serves you now — whether that be a person, idea or something else. You are in the spotlight.

Virgo & Virgo Rising

You are itching for peace and a slower pace now. You have been working so hard the last few weeks. You might have felt like you were not able to catch a break in some ways. A demanding schedule for you, or anyone, can be taxing. However, this New Moon invites you to find more serenity in your life.

Sometimes, peace is created, not found. Your 12th House is being highlighted, a place of quiet and rest. You may feel a little run down or like you need some time away. Listen to your body. Because New Moons signal release, you may be asked to close a door or let something go, as well. This isn’t always easy for you, but you know it will be better if you do. Focus on surrender as a form of liberation now, and you will have the respite and peace you desire.

Jupiter is sitting in your 10th House supporting this New Moon immensely. There may be some positive work opportunities that arise now. You may find that the change isn’t so bad, and it may be met with a financial component that sets you up for further success. Things are shifting for you and moving in ways you can’t yet see. Even if it does not seem that there is a turning point happening in your life, know that new doorways are beginning to open for you! You are also more visible now than you have been in a long time. The pathways that open are more expansive than you can imagine!

Use this New Moon to really bring yourself in. Take time to reflect, rest, and create your peace. Don’t let anyone or anything take that away from you. Focus on what you can receive and what you can release. This lunation is potent for you — finally closing a door, even if it isn’t easy. Some decisions aren’t to be made lightly, but you know in your heart what the outcomes will be. Take care of yourself.

Libra & Libra Rising

At this New Moon, the big questions are: where do you find hope? Who is there to support you? You are someone who may often try to do things all on your own. But at what cost? As we enter this New Moon, your hopes, dreams, wishes, network, and support system all come into focus — as this New Moon falls in your 11th House. Who do you call upon in your time of need? We can’t be the stabilizing factor for others all the time. Sometimes, we need people to rally around us too.

Luckily, this New Moon ensures that you have that. Friends are showing up for you, and a dream seems to be within reach. Yet, there is an air of uncertainty. You may even be readjusting who is in your community. You are in a period of growth, but it hasn’t been easy. This New Moon comes to light up your 11th House and reminds you of the people you have in your corner.

Mars and Jupiter are incredibly supportive of this lunation from your 9th House. This is creating some excitement for you — in a good way! It seems that you may have an opportunity to explore, travel, or adventure somewhere new. Leaps of faith will be front and center, are you ready to step into the next? Even if it doesn’t quite feel like you are ready, it may still be “time”. As I mentioned, you have a ton of support now, too. You are not dreaming alone — people want to see you follow your aspirations.

Use this New Moon to call upon your friends and community. Seek help and ask for it when you need it. People will show up for you. Don’t falter in the face of fear or allow anyone to undermine you. Take control of your future and go in the direction of your dreams. Focus on what really matters to you. You create the outcome.

Scorpio & Scorpio Rising

What is the pinnacle for you? The Leo New Moon usually turns your focus toward your outward life, publicity, and career. This also encompasses your direction and achievements. The last 6 months have had you working hard and making decisions that impacted your future — and now it seems that you are either beginning or about to begin a new phase.

This New Moon falls in your 10th House that rules all of these things: career, direction, and publicity. You may not realize it, but you are in a position of power right now. The ball is seemingly in your court. You are more visible than ever now — people are witnessing you. You could be going for a promotion, looking to switch careers, move, or even change what you do for work. Whatever it is, how you build foundation and security in the world is in focus.

Jupiter and Mars are creating some excitement and growth around this lunation, as they reach out to the Sun and Moon. There may be an unexpectedly positive opportunity that may arise for you or a partner — especially regarding finances. This could be a bonus, commission, inheritance, or some other resource. Additionally, if you have been feeling a little lack of luster with intimacy, this New Moon will completely change that! You could see that your daily work life is about to change, too, but this is for the better. Things are starting to upswing after a heavy few months.

Use this New Moon to build a bridge for yourself. Focus on your next steps and your direction in life. Allow yourself to shine at work regardless of what others may say. If a job isn’t a good fit, then start looking around for something else. Work with your roots and nourish your foundations. Get intimate with your partner and dismantle the tensions that may arise. Create boundaries with anyone who tries to overstep. This is a pivotal New Moon for you. Give yourself space to go after what you want.

SAGITTARIUS TO PISCES

Sagittarius & Sagittarius Rising

You have been tested the last few months. It seems in some ways you may have been feeling stagnant, but now is a time for growth and opportunity. Leo Season will teach you the value of your voice, and this New Moon will teach you the value of growth. But growth isn’t always simple.

Your 9th House will be shining bright, and this turns your focus to finding new pathways and reaching goals. You may be seeking new adventures and itching to see what lies just beyond the horizon for you. In some ways, you know that change is coming. You can use this New Moon to also bring your attention to the skills you have gained and the new ones you will, or plan to learn. This is about applying your wisdom. The Sun rules this New Moon and is sitting in your 3rd House. You could have more inspired discussions than normal or even just a busier life. It seems in some ways, it is hard to see the forest through the trees.

A relationship could be more playful than normal — or even just bring about lots of good feelings and harmony. Some of you may make an unexpected commitment around this New Moon. Alternatively, there may be some major shifts in relationships in your life, too. That is ok! Jupiter is in a good angle to this lunation. So any changes that arise will be positive in the long run. Don’t resist, instead lean into what comes up! You may even surprise yourself with how much support you are receiving from others. All one-on-one relationships you have can benefit from this New Moon.

Use this New Moon to start seeing possibilities that may lie elsewhere. Remove the limitations by removing yourself from those situations. Start finding alternative pathways and know they still lead to the goals you want to achieve. The stagnation you feel will be lifting. It is time to clear the blocks that stand in front of you.

Capricorn & Capricorn Rising

Oh Capricorn, after a busy Cancer Season, it seems that you are ready to take it easy and seek out a small break. You have been so focused on everything you have been building and the accumulation of all of your efforts, now it is time to share what you’ve been given and relish in your hard work.

This New Moon highlights your 8th House, and you are being reminded that some things are best when they are shared with someone more intimately. You are being shown the truth that lies beneath the surface and asked to expose the vulnerability that lies below. Sometimes, in order to get closer to what we want or who we care about, we have to be willing to pull back some layers. If you have been going through a busy time, this New Moon will call you to heal and slow down a bit. A little shadow work can go a long way now.

You may be unexpectedly busy as the lunation begins. Try not to over-commit your time and energy. Jupiter is wonderfully positioned to the Moon and Sun from your 6th House. So, there could be some surprise happenstances with work, projects, or clients. Most of this will feel positive, but it may be a bit overwhelming at first. Take a step back and assess what feels like it is an immediate need. If you have had some issues with your health, Jupiter will help and push you in the right direction.

Use this New Moon to work on yourself and your inner world. Focus on your healing and how you can get intimate with those you love and trust. Open yourself up to new areas for resources and be willing to share and receive what is available.

Aquarius & Aquarius Rising

Life is about give and take, and no one knows that better than you. However, oftentimes you may give more than you receive. This can create an imbalance, whether or not you realize it. So, take a minute and really reflect on the word “receptivity”. What does this mean to you?

The New Moon on the 4th of August brings awareness and light to your 7th House. Here, a partnership, relationship, union, or important person is coming into strong focus. Now consider for some of you this is more business-related than personal. You may be reckoning your boundaries and your space with this other person or entity. Have you been giving too much? Are things off-kilter? What needs to be addressed? This New Moon puts so much emphasis on others that you may need to step outside of yourself to see what is really happening. Perspective is going to be important.

The Sun and Moon work very closely and reach out to Jupiter and Mars! There could be some excitement that comes about in regard to creativity, fun, and joy! You could be ready to really let loose a bit more at the start of the year. If your partnership could use a bit more spice, then this may be the time to do it! If you are single, this New Moon will be perfect for meeting someone! Whatever it is, there is a sense that you want to invite more fun into your life right now. Do it! Mars will help you find the right words and be passionate with how you want to express yourself.

Use this New Moon to evaluate your relationships and focus on how much energy is putting into yourself or others. If it is imbalanced, it is time to restore it all to equilibrium. Uranus and Jupiter are pulling you into your 4th House, a call to nourish yourself from the inside out. Let the river run through your soul and cleanse every piece of you. It is time.

Pisces & Pisces Rising

When life feels a little chaotic, it is time to call yourself back a bit. A little order can do your soul some good, probably more than you realize. It seems that you are trying to get a handle on the “busyness.” Do you need to be as busy as you are? Do you need to reevaluate your routines?

This New Moon shines a light on your 6th House, where we focus on our health, regimens, and daily life. Maybe you have been quietly waiting for something to give, but now it is time to take control. It seems that taking on too much can have a negative impact on you—if you don’t figure out how to manage everything on your plate (or even ask for a little help). You may not have been as good to your body as you would like to be, and now you are being faced with the repercussions. You need to recenter a bit. Your health and your well-being are important! Alternatively, you could make great progress in how you care for yourseld. New clients and work opportunities can also arise, and they will be quite beneficial!

Jupiter plays a key role in this lunation. It sits in your 4th House and has been here since late May. It will be positively connected to this lunation, creating some potential joyful moments. There may be new home-related or family-related matters that can arise. Perhaps a shift in your living space or even a simple redecoration. Whatever it is there is a need to go along with whatever arises. You are being directed toward something new. Adventures start at home. Mars also works well with this lunation, calling you to find more passion and energy in your daily life. With Jupiter so helpful, some of you may see some pay changes based on the clients, projects, or work you take on. Perhaps you are being more valued now than ever before. Your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed.

Use this New Moon to focus on your schedule, routines, and daily life. Try to rearrange things to make it work for you. Don’t be afraid to state your needs and listen to your body more. Get back on track by caring for yourself, and try not to overextend into doing too much. Know your limits.

Capricorn Full Moon
Moon Miniscopes (II)

Solidifying & Building.

Note: The Forward and Horoscopes both are written by the amazing, Bee Britt of The Zine Witch. Learn more about Bee at the bottom of this page and support their work!

The Full Moon falls at 29º Capricorn, 6:17 AM ET on July 21st. This is the second of two illuminating and intense full moons in Capricorn this summer. When we have two full moons within a zodical month we often refer to this as a “blue moon”. This term originated with amateur astronomer James Hugh Pruett in the year 1946 as it is often highlighted by the moon’s blueish appearance in the heavenly skies above.

The Sabian symbol for this degree is a secret meeting of men responsible for world affairs. The Australian astrologer Lynda Hill writes of this degree:

“This Symbol shows the ability to, or the need for, being able to meet with others in order to lay out plans; to have “Secret” meetings of people, people that are often VIP’s in some way or, at least, in charge of decisions or governments or empires. The “Directors” meet, they conference or just conference call, they exchange views, ideas, gossip. There may be decisions to be made or plans to be laid out. Do you make all your decisions on your own, or do you need help? You can often call on the relevant knowledgeable friends or authorities, as you’re bound to know them or how to meet them, and you’ll iron out the details. Sometimes, however, you may feel shut out by those “in charge”.

Masterly control. Sharing innermost secrets. Confidential information. Big guys. Calling the shots. Governments and secret spies. Strategies. Having a say. Councils. Doors.

The Caution: Excluding those affected by decisions. Exploiting people or situations. Being kept in the dark. Gossip. Loose lips. Refusal of entry. The glamour of big business.”

Capricorn is an initiating cardinal sign ruled by the planet Saturn. Saturn is the ruler of time, patience, delays, and developing discipline around our boundaries and responsibilities. Capricorn energy demands restraint in lieu of instant gratification. Its energy is responsible, motivated by its obligations and achievements. It’s the energy of perseverance and resilience. Capricorn is represented by the mountain goat. The mountain goat is always climbing higher and higher toward its goal so Capricorn energy is ambitious and steadfast. Capricorn energy is all about making little improvement over a long period of time. Capricorn also rules the elders of our communities such as grandparents.

Full moons our times where two polarities are at play. With the sun in Cancer - the sign of family, the home, and our emotional world- we are in at impasse with the Capricorn moon which pulls us towards restraint, boundaries, and discipline. It is no wonder topics surrounding women’s bodies and their rights to family are being pulled into focus as well as themes around family inheritance, generational traumas, and the housing crisis in America and many other places around the world.

Saturn is now in its retrograde at this time. This means it’s taking an inward focus in our lives. It’s a period of re-evaluation towards our commitments and time. The conflict between the sun in Cancer and Moon in Capricorn points towards finding balance between our domestic life and our work related responsibilities. Full moons can be beautiful times for rest. So don’t be afraid to let your body feel soothed in the caverns of your own home.

The last time Saturn was in retrograde was between June 17, 2023, and November 4, 2023. You may want to go back and see what themes were coming up for you at that time. Retrogrades are times of doing inner work- the work most of us neglect.

Saturn rules foods that tend to be bitter, dark colored and often pungent in smell like kimchi, pickled foods, sesame seeds, lentils, and root vegetables. These may be some low spoon ways to incorporate the energy of this lunation.

If you have any personal planets in your chart at 0º to 5º or 25º to 29º, you will feel the effects of this Full Moon the most. Especially those with strong Cardinal placements. So, let’s break this down by sign! Always read Sun, Moon, and Rising.

ARIES TO CANCER

Aries & Aries Rising

This full moon is bringing a culmination in terms of your career, public reputation, and within the relationship you have with authority figures. This is a wonderful time for job seekers to put in resumes or to be recognized and rewarded for your hard work over the last few months.

You may be realizing the role you play within the power dynamics at hand. Remember always: respect starts with boundaries. This may be a lesson that you have been learning over the last year as you become more firm in the person you are evolving into. It’s okay to rock the boat if you feel taken advantage of and it’s more than fair to ask for compensation!

Individuation can be uncomfortable, but it is a necessary step on the path to self-respect and taking authority over your life. It may be good during this time to reflect on the mountains you’ve managed to move on your journey and the muscle you’ve built in terms of your overall legacy. Now is the time to shine, shine, shine.

Taurus & Taurus Rising

This full moon highlights your ability to grow, learn, to develop from cultures outside of your own, and your own personal philosophy or ethos towards the world around you. In evolutionary astrology, this area of life also relates to the idea of natural law- that we exist within an info structure, where we are equal to all sentient beings, whether that it is a plant, a pet, a wild animal, or our physical body.

You may be getting the feeling that your own personal dharma is unfolding as we speak. This is a wonderful time for any spiritual practices or to be favored legally by the powers that be.

Cancer New Moon Miniscopes

Cancer New
Moon Miniscopes

The Renewal.

The New Moon falls at 14º Cancer, 6:57 PM ET on July 5th. The Moon comes home, back to its position where it feels most comforted and nourished by the soft energy of Cancer. We can let the waters rush in to cleanse us and prompt us for a new beginning. This is a baptism of sorts – we are renewed.

We watch the Moon itself closely, as it is the leader of this lunation. Just as the Moon goes dark, we too, turn inward to reorganize our inner world. The Moon touches the Sun, where they meet in a warm embrace. This energy is one of fresh starts and a reorientation of our internal and external worlds. We are taking stock of our emotional natures and trying to ensure that our needs are being met before we venture out into the world. This is especially true as both the Sun and Moon square Jupiter. We must understand what keeps us limited or bound before taking steps outside of ourselves.

Mars and Saturn connect with the New Moon, creating supportive aspects. Saturn is newly retrograde, so we are reworking and re-evaluating. With these two working together, they help to deconstruct what holds us hostage and create new pathways of revitalization. The Mars/Saturn sextile is a doorway toward intentional action and mindful movement. Whatever we begin now will have long-term impacts with a slow, but attainable, build. Venus also comes in with a harmonious aspect, creating more ease and softness now. It seems the battle between blazing new trails and remaining comfortable isn’t a battle at all. Instead, all of these planets work in tandem. Because we create comforts, we feel inspired to explore, quest; from this, everything else begins to steadily bloom in our lives.

Mercury and Jupiter add to the ease of this lunation through a lovely sextile. Jupiter speaks through communicative Gemini to tell us a story of how support, relationships, and community come to aid us in our time of need. Growth is steeped in who we know, who we connect with, and how we co-create. The more we are willing to share, the more we will succeed. Mercury will keep us in check and provide us a space to speak more freely and openly about how we feel or what we need. This is the remedy that we need right now.

Since this New Moon is the half way point between eclipses, we are in a pivotal time of change, culmination, and resolution. Use this time to assess what has come to light since April, looking at how you can move forward now. Evaluate your sense of security, and who or what you turn to in your time of need. Who is your home? What brings you safety? These things create the backbone of your next adventure.

If you have any personal planets in your chart at 9º to 19º, you will feel the effects of this New Moon the most. Especially those with strong Cardinal placements. So, let’s break this down by sign! Always read Sun, Moon, and Rising.

ARIES TO CANCER

Aries & Aries Rising

This New Moon rushes in to pour water over you and soften your energy. For you Aries, it is time to come home. You may have been feeling unsettled at best, and this lunation will have you focused on taking a respite.

Your family, home life and emotional well-being are coming into focus more clearly. This is a time to protect yourself and those you love – keeping them close. The New Moon will fall in your 4th House, highlighting your need to be more private. The Moon, itself, actually leads this New Moon and is at home in Cancer. So, the energy is much more natural and not forced — but it doesn’t come without obstacles. You may feel things changing around your family dynamic or even in your home life (buying, selling, redecorating, renting, etc). New Moons are opportunities to plant seeds, and if you have been unhappy with something, then now is the time to make some changes.

Key players at this lunation are Venus, Mars, and Saturn. Mars and Saturn sextile one another and harmoniously link up with the Sun, Moon, and Venus. All of these planets come together to push things through right now. This is the half way point of the recent eclipses, where we are seeing pivots, shifts, resolutions, and new developments unfold. The Taurus/Cancer sectors of your chart are the most activated right now. This creates some desire to go within and have your values connect more with your sense of safety and your spiritual life. If you have been trying for a change in your resources, the Venus/Uranus sextile in particular could prove to be helpful.

Use this New Moon to withdraw a bit and go within. Release pieces of the past to make way for a brighter future. Allow your happiness to shine through, no matter what anyone tells you. If you have been feeling overworked, then try to slow down and rest. Find time this lunation to nourish yourself.

Taurus & Taurus Rising

Life probably feels a bit chaotic lately. There has been many ups and downs, especially with eclipses, Jupiter’s shift into Gemini, and Uranus continuing its stay in your sign. To add to this, Mars isn’t far behind, ready to link up with Uranus. However, this New Moon in Cancer comes in to nourish and heal.

It will fall in your 3rd House, so communication and dialogue will be extremely important. This is really not a time to mince your words or hold back. Instead, you have to be more open with saying what’s on your mind and heart – and more so, also be receptive to what others have to say. The Moon leads this New Moon, ensuring that emotions are brought to awareness — and perhaps are heightened. Anything that may have been subconscious, now creeps up out of the dark and is placed in the forefront of our minds. This can be helpful, especially if you are trying to create connections.

There is a lot of cosmic activity right now, as Mars and Saturn sextile one another and reach out to the Sun, Moon, and Venus. A majority of the planets are all interacting, and quite harmoniously I may add! You currently are hosting Mars and Uranus in your 1st House, adding to the desire to get things done and moving. You are more motivated than usual and can witness your energy levels surge. With Saturn so supportive, this can also create some stabilizing impacts in your life, especially through the guise of a lending hand. Venus, your ruler, brings with it softness and ease. In particular, community, friendships, and those closest to you are the most supportive.

Use this New Moon to really leverage your voice. Get in touch with those around you and share what is on your mind. Write things down and find ways to deal with the busy life you are surrounded by. Try to quiet those voices in your head that hold you back and seek help for any anxiety you may be taking on or hold. Perspective is everything. You need to see things a little differently in order to get ahead.

Gemini & Gemini Rising

With Jupiter in your sign, you could be feeling a need to grow, try, and explore more. You are craving newness and reaching beyond the horizons set before you. We had a Full Moon earlier this month had your mind on others, shared experiences and connections – but now this New Moon will change that. You will be more focused on self-reliance and your personal power.

The New Moon falls in your 2nd House, where income, material possession, self-worth, value, and critical self-understanding lie. Here, we take a stand. This New Moon is ruled by the Moon itself, because of its placement in Cancer. If you are looking for new sources of income or a promotion, this could be a good lunation for you to do so, but it won’t come without work. I think it would be best to encourage you to think about what you value and why. What is important to you and how does that impact your daily life? Understanding your self-worth and your morals are helpful as you navigate all of the changes that have been occurring. You can’t be caught up in the ambiguity anymore.

There are a host of planets are positively interacting with one another now. The Sun, Moon, and Venus all connect with Mars and Saturn. This alignment is highlighting a need to stabilize and build on the security that stands before you. You may have some changes going on that require you to have a bit more faith or trust, allowing that be a motivator more than anything else. Saturn in your 10th House is also welcoming some notoriety or visibility. You are reaching a pinnacle in what you bring to society right now, even if parts of it are under review. With Saturn trine the Sun, Moon, and Venus, you put your values forward and use that as your guiding light and a testament to your success.

Use this New Moon to get a handle on your resources, material and otherwise. Figure out how to spend your energy– and on what.

Cancer & cancer Rising

You have been working so hard behind the scenes and now we are reaching a breakout moment. A New Moon is always a good time to start a new cycle, but when it falls in your sign, what you begin is entirely up to you.

This New Moon falls in your 1st House turning your attention toward your individuality, motivations, identity and self. What keeps you going? Who are you and how do you show that to others? These are good questions to ask yourself, because you are now in a place where you can change perceptions. This is a time for show and tell — show them who you are, and if they don’t understand, tell them. Make no mistake, you have the floor. You ruler, the Moon, leads this New Moon, so your emotions may be heightened. Yet, there is such a natural energy around this lunation for you.

As this New Moon is the half way point between the eclipses, you are at a turning point or pivotal moment in your year! There is a sense that you are being asked to take the lead and head into a new direction. Your home and career sectors will be impacted but for the best! Mars and Saturn work well during this New Moon to bring long-term success and grounded stability. Decisions are not made with impulse but with a deep knowing. Both planets reach out the stellium of planets in Cancer, supercharging you and getting you ready for some exciting and empowering changes! You are putting yourself out there more and taking leaps of faith…and it is noticeable! Feel proud and confident of yourself right now. You are accomplishing so much.

Use this New Moon to focus on what you want out of life. See what brings your joy, passion, and happiness. Seek out desires and don’t be afraid to make your needs known. Work on creating more balance in your life and enact your boundaries. It is important. Instead of carrying the burdens, seek help. You have to release what no longer serves you now — whether that be a person, idea or something else. You are in the spotlight.

Leo & Leo Rising

The New Moon falls in your 12th House, where your mind will be on completion. You may be working on wrapping up a project or bringing something to an end. You could also be plugging away behind the scenes or simply just feeling a bit run down. Whatever it is, the 12th House invites us to rest. There is a need here to let go and release tension and anything outside of our control. The Moon leads this New Moon, emphasizing the Cancerian qualities — consider this a point of reflection for you.

I urge to take a look at how your life has changed since March/April, and understand that there is more to come in September and October. Your career is throwing some surprising twists that is exalting your position and getting you some recognition that you deserve, even if you can’t see it now. Take control of your future and go in the direction of your dreams. Focus on what really matters to you. You create the outcome.

Your 10th House is being highlighted – a place of career, direction, and honor. You may be busy with work and considering ways to change how you approach your career. This would be an ideal time to launch a product/project, bring your focus to the type of work you do and/or maintain your perspective in your goals. Are you feeling like you are doing what you want to do? How does this influence your daily life? Are you overwhelmed right now? Taking on too much? In some ways, you may be reaching a pinnacle. You could be redefining your purpose and pushing yourself to the next level. The Moon is the leader of this lunation, and it will ask for is a new mindset. So what is it going to be?

It is worth mentioning that this New Moon is a culmination and pivot point from the recent eclipses of Aries Season. However, instead of feeling jolting, this lunation is quite sweet. Mars in your 8th House and Saturn in your 6th are working well together to stabilize your daily commitments and how you approach your work life. You could find more opportunities to collaborate. Additionally, your health is coming into focus, too, but happily so! It seems you are building long-term commitments to your well-being. SAGITTARIUS TO PISCES

Sagittarius & Sagittarius Rising

You have come so far, and last month or so was a wild ride for you! Right now though, your mind turns toward some healing, slowing down and focusing on what’s here in front of you. This New Moon reinforces that message.

It falls in your 8th House, this is puts attention on shedding old skin, releasing and unearthing. You could be undoing the past few years and witnessing how far you have come in the last 6-12 months. Your life has completely transformed. This New Moon is asking for you to get intimate. Focus on your emotional well-being, but also share your depths with those you are close to. It could be a great New Moon for exploring interests and opening yourself up to the unknown. Alternatively, some of you may have past issues that crop up and need your attention. Because the 8th House is such a psychological house, it is wise to bounce things off of another (whether that be a partner, therapist, friend, etc). It touches us to see something in a new way.

With Mars and Saturn working well at this lunation, you could be adopting healthier habits at home. It seems that you are wanting to make a change in how you live your daily life, and that is starting at the root…literally. You could be updating your recipes, creating a space for a home gym, or simply shifting your routines for more spaciousness. Whatever it is, it seems that you are motivated to be better to yourself. Mars and Saturn connect beautifully to the Sun, Moon, and Venus. All of these planets working well seem to make for a lovely New Moon, overall. Lean into the sweetness where you can.

Use this New Moon to work on yourself and your inner world. Focus on your healing and the ways in which you can get intimate with those you love and trust. Open yourself up to new areas for resources and be willing to share and receive what is available. Find time to break cycles that keep you in harmful patterns. You are like a snake, constantly shedding skin.

Capricorn & Capricorn Rising

With two Full Moons occurring in your sign this year, you are sort of in the spotlight right now. You may have some changes to your partnerships and relationships with others — or even your relationship with yourself. This New Moon in Cancer will highlight those changes and what still needs to be released.

Your 7th House is being illuminated right now, which places focus on the “others” in our lives. You could be thinking about boundaries, connection, and how you fit into said relationship. Now, keep in mind, this isn’t always a romantic relationship. This is about a union of any kind — business partner, close friendship, etc. You may be more willing with the give and take — just know to keep a balance. If you are single, this is can be a time to meet someone. If you are attached and happy, you may want to take things to the next level. Now, here’s the thing about 7th House transits, if you are UNHAPPY, then know that a new beginning may be sparked by and ending (but of course it will be for the best in the end). Only you know the intricacies of this relationship or how it may play out for you.

With your ruler, Saturn, working well at this lunation, it seems that friends and those close to you are all acting as a grounding force. Mars aids Saturn, and brings with it a bit of fun and playful energy from your 5th House. You are motivated toward more leisure and trying to enjoy the small things. Mars and Saturn connect well with the Sun, Moon, and Venus. You may feel the social activities start to settle in. This interconnectedness of planets creates a strong sense of sweetness and ease that is quite welcomed, especially as this New Moon acts as the half way point between the eclipses. Watch what culminates or changes now that may have began in March/April of this year. You may be asked to compromise a bit more, but it is worth it in the end.

Use this New Moon to evaluate your relationships and focus on how much energy is putting into yourself or others. If it is imbalanced, it is time to restore it all to equilibrium. Pluto is pulling you into yourself, a call to nourish yourself from the inside out — perhaps really embrace your own personal evolution. Let the river run through your soul and cleanse every piece of you. It is time.

Aquarius & Aquarius Rising

You are taking things slow right now. You have been making changes to your daily routine and your life, in general, even in subtle ways. But it seems that the day to day operations are what are making the most impact. You are looking to take more ownership and control of your daily affairs. You maybe finding your way in a new job or simply just settling into a new routine.

This New Moon falls in your 6th House, and all of this lies here. In addition, health could be a focus, too. You may be trying to do better and be better to your body. A New Moon in your 6th House is an excellent time to look for work and to start routines that you want to carry with you into the long term. The Moon rules this lunation, so you have to feel emotionally aligned with whatever it is that you are starting. There has to be a connection. So, don’t do something just because it sounds right. Instead, do it because it feels right.

Mars is adding motivation to your foundational self. It is blazing through your 4th House, getting you to “clean things up” at home. You could be organizing or addressing some issues that have been left on the back burner. As Mars reaches out to Saturn, this creates room for more abundance and opportunities for resources. It seems that a long-term relationship may be getting established or built that could support your financial picture or even your self-worth. As Mars and Saturn reach out the Sun, Moon, and Venus, you will feel quite busy! Commitments made, especially in regard to a project or financial opportunity will be long-lasting and stable. You may be surprised by what it all culminates to in the long-run! Try to keep that big picture perspective in mind.

Use this New Moon to focus on your schedule, routines, and daily life. Try to rearrange things to make it work for you. Don’t be afraid to state your needs and listen to your body more. Get back on track by caring for yourself, and try not to overextend into doing too much. Know your limits.

Pisces & Pisces Rising

Right now, you are receiving reminders of what it means to focus on your own joy — and we have a New Moon in Cancer, that is helping you with this. With a New Moon in a fellow Water sign, the energy is more natural and receptive. You can easily accept whatever comes, as it is a reflection of your own element.

This lunation falls in your 5th House, so your mind will be on creativity, joy, happiness, creation, and possibly even love. You may get a wind of inspiration that rolls through and empowers you. You know that your happiness is essential, and now that is more clear than ever. What this New Moon invites you to do is reflect on what brings you pleasure and play in life. You have to connect with that inner child and open yourself up to the fun in life. Let loose a little and relax your shoulders. If you have kids, this would be an ideal New Moon to connect with them. If you are looking to conceive, this lunation is good for that, too. Of course, this isn’t just conception of human life, but also a conception of an idea or even a romance! The 5th House rules creation, and that is creation of all kinds. The Moon rules this lunation, so emotions may be heightened, but you are no stranger to this. This is a push to listen to your inner knowing, your compass, to guide you in the direction you need to go.

With Saturn in your sign, things have felt a little heavy lately. It is now retrograde and super supported at this New Moon. The tensions you felt temporarily subside, and with it comes motivation, excitement, change, and some ease. Mars and Saturn work well together to bring a friends or community to your side. You may have people surrounding you now. Additionally, you could receive some good news that shifts your perspective and future trajectory in some way. Maybe you have been waiting for a confirmation or an agreement. It seems that it is likely around this lunation. And whatever it is brings with it creativity and a more joyful outcome. This is especially true as Mars and Saturn reach out the Sun, Moon, and Venus all in Cancer. It is time to taste some of the sweetness that life has to offer. Consider this a small reward after a lot of hard work.

Use this New Moon to open yourself creatively. Follow your passions and listen to your heart. Go with what sets your soul ablaze and don’t let anyone stop you. Give voice to your happiness and your joy. You can take up space, it doesn’t mean that someone else doesn’t get their share, too. Start a creative project and just genuinely allow yourself time to relax. Your heart is your guiding force. Where will it lead you?

AstroStyle Book Pre-Order

What is the AstroStyle Book?

The intersection of astrology and life on Earth is as simple as living and breathing for me. I see the stars in the way I move and the things I create. The constellations drawn across the very fabric of the clothes I wear. I adorn myself in their brilliant light and wear them with pride. I use astrology in mundane life, finding ways to make meaning of their luminescence in the everyday. I blend lifelong passions and work with astrology to create a seamless integration, furthering my connection with the cosmic energy that extends far beyond us. As above, so below.

I have spent many years styling and working in the industry to see the connections come to life in real time. It is a combination of over a decade of work, where the idea is to make the abstract more tangible. Consider AstroStyle your own personal styling experience that has been written in the stars.

AstroStyle will get you thinking about fashion and personal style "from above" by revealing how your Sun, Moon, Rising, Mercury, Venus, and Mars signs can serve as the foundation for building a look that’s uniquely your own.

Featuring inspirational mood boards that correspond to each sign of the zodiac and in-depth discussions of palmistry and tarot, AstroStyle offers a hyper-personalized exploration into how each element, sign, house, and placement can affect your style. Along the way, you’ll learn to connect more deeply with your innermost self as you explore the possibilities of dressing based on the movements of the universe.
