The New Moon in Libra falls at 13º on October 6th at 7:05 AM EST.There comes a point when we have to reckon with how we connect with others and ourselves. What sort of relationships have we cultivated? What are our expectations? What are our needs? The New Moon in Libra is perfect for this. It gracefully walks in and takes a seat. It brings with it a need to look at how we conduct ourselves in our interactions. Do we make ourselves small? Do we concede in the face of conflict? Libra is the sign of everything just and fair. So, part of this New Moon is asking for us to create more equality in our lives. We can balance expectation with desire, need with want, and you with me.

At this New Moon, you can swim a little more, and submerge yourself more fully into the waters. Let your mind take you places you never thought you could go. You may call back a faith in yourself that you have long thought you lost. You could re-engage with places that you forgot existed. Sometimes our journeys backwards bring us insights into what we never saw initially. In this case, your past is informing your future. Reflect on what you’ve learned over the last many years, and decide what is worth taking with you— and, more importantly, what isn’t. Pluto reinforces this message as it turns direct the day of this New Moon. It is trudging through your 12th House, where endings that have been pending now come into sharp focus. Resolution. You need not fear as Pluto brings chapters of your life to a close. This sets the stage for what will come in the next few years. You have to be able to adapt to the changes that Pluto brings. They push you to believe more in yourself than you ever have before. Pluto is nearing the end of its time in Capricorn, where it will then shift into your sign. That will be applied transformation. But until then, focus on releasing what you can’t control. Use this New Moon to reignite the flame. Get inspired and reflect on all the wisdom you have gained in life. Practically apply knowledge from your past into the present moment, and allow your dreams to take flight. Growth is inevitable— so move with it, not against it.

Some cycles are meant to be broken, Pisces. Libra Season brings about a new cycle in our life, our year and our mindset— a necessary shift of a season. However, for you, this shift is felt so much more as it also brings transits to your 8th House. The 8th House rules intimacy, cycles, magick, shared resources, death/beginnings, and the shadows. With the New Moon in Libra, this House will get some love. You are descending into the shadow before Scorpio Season even begins, and you are asked to confront what lies beneath the surface. Resilience is key as you walk through fire and ice to get to the core of what keeps you in your holding patterns. Like a Phoenix, you can rise again, burning brighter, faster, and hotter than ever before— but it may require a personal confrontation to your own limitations first. This New Moon calls for transformation as the Sun, Moon, and Mars all align in your 8th House. Mars brings a clear warrior spirit that may put you in a place of discomfort. From the outside looking in, it may be hard for others to see you breaking down old structures and habits. The cycles are ending, and new ones are being established in their place. The Waking Dream.

The Full Moon in Pisces falls at 28º on September 20th at 7:54 PM EST. Even amid practical Virgo Season, we are given a little healthy idealism with the Full Moon in Pisces. Reminding us that life isn’t all work and no play – and that sometimes, seeing isn’t always believing. In the dream-like state of the Piscean mind, we are reminded to connect with parts of ourselves that have been long forgotten. The Full Moon illuminates our hopes, grounding our inspiration in our intuition. We channel the intangible into reality, connecting our spirit with our body.

Where do our boundaries lie? Are they limitations to our growth or structures put in place to ground us? As the Sun and Moon oppose each other in Virgo and Pisces, we have to find how and where we choose to expend our energy. These signs always bring up the issues surrounding service and sacrifice. When have we given up too much at the expense of our own needs?

Since Full Moons signal release, we are told to let go of limiting beliefs with Pisces. We have to swim in the sea of the spirit and get in touch with our soul’s desires. The Sun widely conjoins Mars; turning will into determination. Even with Mars in fall, we still have the chance to bring awareness to action – dreams to fruition.

The Sun trines Pluto, while the Moon sextiles it. Both are harmoniously descending into the depths of this quiet transformer. We are taking a hard look at what lies beneath the surface. Pluto bestows the gifts of magnetism, resilience, and transmutation. When the Sun and Pluto touch, the light is being shone on the shadow, showing us what we have not been able to see. Yet, the Moon, in its beautiful sextile to Pluto, allows us to navigate those depths so elegantly. Its submergence into the unknown uncovers hidden motivations and talents that have been out of view. We take it all in with sweeping gestures, allowing it all to consume us in a beautiful transcendence.

Mercury seeks guidance from Jupiter, the traditional ruler of this Full Moon. Under the wing of Jupiter, Mercury sees possibility. The rational mind and abstract thought come together to expand our worldview. Mercury and Jupiter push us to listen to our intuition and the deep inner knowing that comes with it. There is wisdom that wells within our soul, that helps us along in this earth incarnation. Mercury learns from Jupiter that some things don’t need explanation. Sometimes, they just need to be felt to be understood.

Venus does oppose Uranus, bringing up surprising information and potential doubt. But this is normal as Pluto is here, churning the depths. What we find may not be what we thought it would be, but it is what we needed. We may be trying to reckon our own self-worth, our sense of internal value or reliance on material resources.

Venus is in Scorpio, where it craves intimacy and sharing – seeking validation through connection. With the watery aspects of this Full Moon, we can’t discount the power that lies in our ability to connect with others on a spiritual and emotional level. Pisces asks us to let go of inhibition and dive into the waters headfirst to taste the bits of freedom we crave most.

If you have any personal planets in your chart at 24º to 2º, you will feel the effects of this Full Moon the most. Especially those with strong Mutable placements. So, let’s break this down by sign!
